Courtney Barnett - Full performance (Rock the Garden 2019)
#CourtneyBarnett began her #live set with "Avant Gardener," a song that introduced many listeners to the Australian artist's breezy yet searing #rock. Barnett barreled through songs from 'Tell Me How You Really Feel' while throwing in songs from earlier albums. She growled each song's lyrics and roamed around the stage, smiling at band members Bones Sloane and Dave Mudie. Barnett slung her guitar and held the body in the air while ripping through solos. During "Small Poppies," she held her axe like a violin before banging the headstock on the stage, and after "Pedestrian at Best," she walked offstage from the #Concert while squeals of feedback still rang out.

If you enjoy her then why isn’t she also yours? This way of speaking is surprisingly narcissistic as if she belongs to a group of people based on the year they were born. Why not just like the video and shut the fuck up?

@@b_i_l_l_w_i_l_l_i_a_m_s_o_n Anyone with a brain know people tend to gravitate to their contemporaries for their music interests. She is very talented and fun to listen to. 'She's yours' was aimed at her contemporaries, not hard to understand.

Her music reminds me a lot of Pavement in this set with the way she uses distortion combined with them already being an apparent influence in her song writing. Edit: I also don't really get Kurt Cobain or Bob Dylan vibes from her tbh. She never comes across as provocative as either of them to me. Lou was always a lot more passive aggressive/antogonastic as well.

The mullet has only gotten more impressive since the last time I saw her live. Wonder why they dropped the 4th touring member? She really helped fill out the sound, but nothing wrong with CB3 at all.

Stupid club kicked me out for filming here in my town but atleast i got this one song and it was so much more energetic than this one.. Sometimes you can film the same show 50 times but 2 end up better than the other 50. Some artists never get filmed on the days they rock out the best...
