Thumbelina hit the jackpot with you two. What a great story. My prayer every day is for animal suffering, neglect and abuse to STOP! It always warms my heart to see humans literally turn their lives around for their rescue animals, no matter what kind of animal it is. Animal suffering, neglect and abuse will never stop, just like human suffering, neglect and abuse will never stop. That is one of the symptoms of being a living being. But as things change they remain the same. I am always glad to see all living beings happy and safe.

Thumbalina’s birth mom chose the perfect bed to have her babies. Otherwise, Thumbalina wouldn’t have survived for 8 yrs and still going strong. This is a very sweet story and thank you for taking such good care of her.

What a dedication, these people moved to Florida mostly for Thumbellina's benefit to get treatment that is probably not cheap either. That squirrel's yawn when she's lazing on her back and getting a belly rub is way too cute.

WOW! Thumbelina is truly a walking miracle. Most squirrels (from what I know of them) do not live this long especially with all her special needs. You're wonderful fur parents to this darling little girl.

The veterinarian care Thumbellina gets must so expensive, but these wonderful parents don’t care. They just Love her and want her to be in the best health possible. ❤ Such a cute family

In the summer of 2019 it was sundown my husband called for me there was a baby squirrel beside my back porch the mother squirrel must have placed her there to be rescued so I rescued her I had her for a week she got constipated on me I thought she was going to die It's illegal in Massachusetts to have wildlife as pets I called my veterinarian to get wildlife rehabilitator I got in touch with wildlife rehabilitators I met them and I passed off the baby squirrel they took care of her and she survived they sent me pictures of her It's the best feeling in the world when you're able to rescue a helpless animal Thank you for rescuing Thumbelina She is just the cutest thing ever god bless you all

So true. Respect for all living things comes from being raised by kind parents that teach this to their kids. Being selfish and abusive is from a lack of values and morals. It is sad to see so many humans become pricks to each other and other creatures. Humanity needs to grow up and evolve to a more enlightened species. I think most other species are kinder to each other than we are as a whole. 🙏💞

I have been watching Thumbelina’s videos for years. Just when you think she couldn’t possibly get any cuter, she proves you wrong🥰🥰 You’re right, she’s not a pet! My daughter adopted a precious kitty and I’m proud to tell people she’s my grand cat! They are family🥰🥰

You guys are awesome for taking such great care of her. When a person packs up to move to another state to get her closer to her vet shows your love and bond. Beyond beautiful! ❤❤❤

This is such a sweet and unusual story ! I love squirrels......I have had a lot of interactions with them over the years. I fed a cat colony for years that lived in a wooded area. In addition to cats, there were a lot of squirrels so I always had peanuts. I used a rollator to walk my supplies to my little group. While I was feeding the cats the squirrels would open the rollator and help themselves to peanuts. They are very smart ! We TNR'd the cats and eventually placed them all. ❣

I do understand the love you can give to a little squirrel. Years ago I raised one. I had to teach it to jump from branch to branch. My adult male cat kept her warm when she was a baby. Long story short to explain how my cat took care of my little Nutkin. Finally in later summer after I felt she was ready to go off on her own. I drove to the country to my mother’s house to release her. When I went to Moms, I’d call her. She would come running to me. Each year she would stay further away from me until she stopped coming. I still miss her 45 years later.

Had a co work who raised infant squirrels abandoned or injured in cooperating with our wildlife refuge. Many days,Carol would come in on her day off to show us her new baby snuggled in a cloth shoulder bag. Absolutely precious these little ones are as Thumbelina! Great job mom & dad❤❤❤❤

Aww thank you for posting this story. I too had a baby squirrel years ago. I named him Scooter. I found him when he was few days old and I took him everywhere. I even took him to my office. I used to sneak home in my purse when my clients would take me to lunch. No one ever knew. He was so rotten. I loved him so much. He passed few years ago. Maybe one day I'll run across another one.
