It's not "cute" at all. It's a sign they are dying for lack of natural places to get the basics they need to survive. Think monkey THINK.
Omgosh you 2 are so lucky Elephant’s are my favorite animal ever !!! This is so COOL 😎 And he wasn’t bothered by you 2 knowing you wasn’t a threat and he/she just wanted to make friends!! I’m jealous 😂😂😂
I bet this is the coolest moment of your life
So lucky to have this unbelievable experience 😝
Very cool! And what a sweet couple!
Wow! What an experience!
I would be in heaven having an experience like this 🥹. God’s beautiful creatures are such a blessing 🥰.
WOW!! That would be an amazing experience.❤

The elephant was desperate for water and the couple was in grave danger. Read up on the Zimbabwe drought and what it is doing to the elephants. And if you really care, read about the numbers of Zimbabweans attacked and killed by elephants during the drought.

Most public places these days don’t use chlorine because of the wildlife. There is a salt process they use instead. I used to go for aqua physical therapy and the pools were salt sterile.

This couple left the elephant alone, so the elephant saw that they weren't a threat, which put the big animal at ease. It even playfully splashed a little water at them.😊
I have never been so jealous in my life. That is AMAZING!!! What an AWESOME experience!

And, did you see the other elephants? Look at the left side of the picture. There's a definite shot of another elephant, fairly close, at the start if the video. Towards the end, there is another moment where you'll see 3-4 more farther back. Incredible! Now, I wonder, was the first elephant sent ahead to make sure it was safe for the others?
you two are so Blessed, I wish I could have shared the experience with you in person
I would be in tears if this happened to me. Such beautiful creatures!! I would love to have an experience like this!❤❤❤
I love the respect you have for these majestic creatures. And as for drinking all those chemicals. Will be better than drinking water wjth poo and wee in which is what they are used to so to that elephant its clean fresh water probably goes there quiet often
I agree. Its great yet all the chemicals 😮

Most lodges that are accessible to animals, like this one, use salt and no other chemicals in their pools. And if you're worried about the salinity then, pools treated with salt have low salinity levels, so it wouldn't be a problem. These lodges are situated in reserves, which are protected areas, so they would never do anything to harm the fauna or flora...that would be illegal.
That is freaking awesome. How cool would that be to be able to experience that, to freaking cool??
this is truly amazing. it looks like there were other elephants in the background?
Cool animals
The elephant: This is my pool, I really have fun drinking & playing the water, as long as you humans keep a distance from me, you are invisible to me.🤣🤣🤣 What an amazing encounter! What an awesome lifetime experience! The elephant is so beautiful and lovely. 💯x💯❤.

Wow, how cool is this?? Man what it is like to have a pool in your back yard that an elephant can come up to. I would swim every night!! They are lucky they had their phone with them.
Wow 😮
I could never stay so calm, when an elephant of that size comes so close! I think, I would have left something in my pool 😂💩! And what if he decides to take a bath too? Or his family in the background joins him? At least this could also have ended badly. Happily Jumbo had a good mood.
Life goal!!!

Oh, for heaven's sake! If they had gotten out of the pool to get their visitor a bucket of water, where do you think the water would have come from? Besides, where would they get a bucket? Call room service? Also, a puny bucket of water would have been a joke to that huge elephant. Then, there's the issue of approaching a wild animal, and hoping they don't take your approach as a threat. This couple did the right thing by staying where they were, keeping their voices down, and making no moves that might have alarmed their visitor!🐘 Lastly, it is apparent that this was not this elephant's first visit to this "watering hole" and, I'm sure, won't be their last. Next time, they may find the entire herd having an evening drink, and/or wake up to find the pool water down by more than a couple inches. The resort should install some spy cams to catch the fun!❤🐘❤🐘❤

They don’t use chlorine anymore in these places. There is a way to keep the water clean using salt. I’m sure it’s a special salt compound but it’s better for wild life and people.
@bjs301

@@break1722 It would have to be a pretty big bucket. An adult African bull elephant drinks about 50 gallons daily. And I don't know where they'd find the untreated water. The only reason Zimbabwe elephants are invading human water and food supplies is the ongoing once in a lifetime drought.
I’m hoping the chlorine in the pool water, if any, doesn’t impact its health. They’re awesome creatures!

I was surprised that elephant was drinking chlorine water 💦😮 😅 but liked it 😊
that elephant is clearly comfortable with humans, and 100% wanted them to splash back! that said, in the moment i think i would want to be as respectful and quiet as this couple is. i've been lucky enough to be around and touch and even once ride on elephants, and they are the most exquisite beings. they are nonetheless bloody enormous. such a lovely interaction.
*I think that they might have to clean my floaters out of that tub if that had happened to me!! What an awesome and exhilarating experience!!!* 😮

Mischievous elephant. Making waves and taking names. Wow.
That elephant was showing off by the end of the video🤣🤣🤣 as if the elephant wanted to be famous. That elephant needs its own TikTok, it was born ready for this world.🤣🤣🤣🤣
Oncein a lifetime, but could be scary
It's a young bull. Oh boy, I'm glad there is a 4 ft. wall there or he would have walked over to them. Not saying he would have been aggressive, but it would awkwardly be "aggressive".
It's all fun and games until he decides to jump in the pool with them. 😂
My wife and I had an ever so slightly similar experience. We were in a hot tub and our cat walked by. So? You may ask. We were a half a mile from our home in a Southern California apartment complex. The people in the tub said, "Is that YOUR cat?" Apparently he had walked straight up the stucco to their second floor and tried to kidnap their Guiney pig. Not an elephant, but I sure miss that cat.
Cleaning his trunk out of all the dust.
Chlorine in water to tigers is like catnip!
I’m not envious, but I wish I had the resources to get a good lady and escape my homeland. But, I live in my van and work at Autozone. ☺️ I’m happy for the 2 lucky people.

Oh no! the big guy is drinking chlorine from the pool water! 😮
Why would they be surprised that an elephant showed up, it’s the reason they are there.
What did the elephant say to this naked man?… “How do you breathe through that little thing?” 😮
I am guessing that the only thing unusual about those elephants drinking water from that particular pool is the fact that humans were in the pool at the time. But I could be wrong.
👍💯💙
Poor animal drinking all that chlorine in that pool Lord protect them.
You could have at least say hello to him, I would have talked to him. That's me though LOL
Do you see rails preventing wild animals from accessing the buffet? I didn’t think so.
What an amazing experience. But it would’ve been nice if they had slowly backed out and walked away, so all of the other elephants, waiting for water could have also walked up and had a good drink.
Ewww! Wouldn't that pool water be treated, and wouldn't that treatment be distasteful to a wild animal? Well, I guess not, because there he was, drinking, without displaying any sign of distaste. What a cool thing to be a part of.
Over here in the USA, the thing would be drinking chlorine, fluoride, heavy metals, toxic chemicals, etc., and would probably die on video!
