Lyrics:
To seek the sacred river Alph
To walk the caves of ice
To break my fast on honeydew
And drink the milk of Paradise...'
I had heard the whispered tales of immortality
The deepest mystery
From an ancient book I took a clue
I scaled the frozen mountain tops of eastern lands unknown
Time and Man alone
Searching for the lost Xanadu
Xanadu
To stand within the Pleasure Dome
Decreed by Kublai Khan
To taste anew the fruits of life
The last immortal man
To find the sacred river Alph
To walk the caves of ice
Oh, I will dine on honeydew
And drink the milk of Paradise
Oh, paradise!
A thousand years have come and gone but time has passed me by
Stars stopped in the sky
Frozen in an everlasting view
Waiting for the world to end, weary of the night
Praying for the light
Prison of the lost
Xanadu
Xanadu
Held within the Pleasure Dome
Decreed by Kublai Khan
To taste my bitter triumph
As a mad immortal man
Nevermore shall I return
Escape these caves of ice
For I have dined on honeydew
And drunk the milk of Paradise
Whoa, is it paradise?

The long waited song! A masterpiece for sure! So excited for our new face cam! Looks a little darker and i can see the video and audio not 100 % fit, i will fix it to next time we record. So far we use mobile light, so not optimal. We need more lights, also why we do save up for a Elgato Ring Light, that should make it perfect! The ultimate Rush performance. There are a number of amazing guitarists out there. I think if either Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Eddie Van Halen or whoever had produced this performance it would have been lauded & appreciated more. I love those guys but Alex's performance here is on a par with anything those guys have done. Underrated for sure, but not by Rush fans. 3 of the greatest musicians in Rock just happened to play in the same band - the perfect storm.

A brilliant performance of an amazing song! Alex and Geddy are joking around on stage while playing incredibly complicated music. That's what happens when you have been playing with your best buddy since you were 16. Alex Lifeson the guitarist also plays acoustic guitar, mandola and later on keyboards. The instrumental was YYZ and the other song you were talking about is Limelight. I have left some Rush songs suggestions already so I won't leave anymore now.😉 I have a new band suggestion. They are a newer Canadian band but they play old school rock and are big Rush fans as well. Their name is Crown Lands and the song is Lady of the Lake ( official music video Have a good one. Geddy's doubleneck is a bass and 12 string guitar. He switches to the 12 string neck when Alex starts his main outro solo right after the last vocal passage. Geddy stays on the 12 string for the remaining minute and a half of the song but the video doesn't show it very well, most of the attention is on Alex.

Alex smoothly switching from 12 to 6 strings at 12:41. That's just sick. It's one thing to do that during a break in the song, but mid -verse is ridiculous.
