Lyrics:
So sad her eyes.
Smiling dark eyes.
So sad her eyes
As it began.
On such a breathless night as this
Upon my brow the lightest kiss.
I walked alone.
And all around the air did say
My lady soon will stir this way
In sorrow known.
The white queen walks,
And the night grows pale.
Stars of lovingness in her hair.
Needing unheard.
Pleading one word.
So sad my eyes.
She cannot see.
How did thee fare? What have thee seen,
The mother of the willow green?
I call her name.
And 'neath her window have I stayed.
I loved the footsteps that she made
And when she came.
White queen, how my heart did ache.
And dry my lips no word would make.
So still I wait.
My goddess, hear my darkest fear.
I speak too late.
It's for evermore that I wait.
Dear friend, goodbye.
No tears in my eyes.
So sad it ends
As it began.

The piano and guitar together were amazing and the vocals, well, out of this world. There will never be another Freddie and never be another band with all members being extremely talented musicians. No auto tune. No tricks, just pure raw talent

Fantastic reaction! Most big Queen fans knows that their best songs are not necessarily the hits. The hits are good in general, but Queen did so much interesting work and great music that could never be released on the radio. They have a catalogue full of great deep cuts and underappreciated songs.

We're guilty with Queen too, before we started reaction videos, we sadly only knew the hits and was like that is Queen, that what they offering with music, and we was so badly wrong, and thats actually the greatest thing about this we're doing here, u guys request so much and we learn by it! ty!

This is my favorite live performance ever, by anybody. Thank you. Brian wrote this song about a girl in one of his classes in college. He really liked her but he could never get up the nerve to ask her out.

You're discovering what all Queen fans know: The REALLY GOOD STUFF is in their "Deep Cuts" (album songs that were never released as singles, but many of which were regular parts of their live concerts)... This is where all of the Hidden Gems are! REQUEST/SUGGESTION: "IT'S A HARD LIFE" LIVE AT ROCK IN RIO, 1985 (You get an excellent view of Freddie's piano playing in that one, because the video is shot from above, down on the piano. Freddie also starts out the song, singing unbelievable HIGH notes... which he didn't do very often live, usually only in the studio.) ALSO: "YOU TAKE MY BREATH AWAY" LIVE AT HYDE PARK, 1976 (It's a short one, just Freddie and the piano.)

OMG, yes-You Take My Breath Away, live version at Hyde Park is one of the most moving performances I have ever seen (and I was born in the late ‘50’s, so you could say that I have seen a couple performances, haha, including Queen, live, in the ‘70’s.) Definitely a must-see for any Freddie Mercury fan cuz it is just Fred and his piano. Oh, and over 150,000 people in the audience.

Brian was not only inspired to write this by his unrequited crush on a girl in his class, but he says he was reading Robert Grave’s White Goddess at the time, and that was an influence also. So your reference to Frozen maybe is picking up in the mythological elements.

As a 55 year old man, when I see new younger people looking/listening to the band's older deeper songs for the first time I can't help but get a little teary eyed. You guy's do me proud. I've been seriously emotionally vested in the best years of musical creativity (1965-1980, imho) and Freddie and the boys have been a huge influence on me since I was 11. Cheers from the canadian Queen nut.

ty so much for your kind words! We LOVE older music way more than modern music, autotune, all made on one computer, and stuff, no no, we prefer the real music from the 1950's 1960's 1970's 1980's and 1990's actually in late 1990's auto tune was born and music death haha ty again!

@Celca React most of these are harder to get good versions of live or the official video has certain elements that add to the experience. Though a live version of Killer Queen that leads into I am on love with my car sung by Roger from the Montreal set is pretty good.

Early Queen is the best! Keep Yourself Alive was their first single. Liar is a banger with a great drum intro and a bass solo, lots of drama. Ogre Battle is epic with an unforgettable guitar riff and Freddie fighting ogres! Subscribed because - White Queen, but there is The March of the Black Queen if you're brave!

👏👏👏White Queen is a really hidden gem. Do you know the song Bring Back That Leroy Brown? It's only a short one at the same Hammersmith 75 concert, but you can enjoy Freddie's piano skills. (The complete song is longer, but there is no full live version as far as I know.)

The magic between Freddie’s piano & Brian’s guitar is amazing yet very sad …. “Heeding unheard pleading one word .. So sad my eyes she cannot see .. My goddess hear my darkest fear .. The studio version of this has some nice moments, with layered vocals and the guitar almost sounding like a sitar in places. But the instrumental section of this live performance is amazing, with all four musicians intertwining their parts, passing around phrases. On the album I can't hear any piano at all, and the drums are very muted and much simpler.
