What is the difference between "In the lap of the god... Revisted" and "In the lap of the God" we saw 2 different lyrics, so thats why we reacted to both, we got really confused about it actually :D anyways ty for your kind words!

@@CelcaReact Lyrics are different … the revisited one is for crowd participation. Freddie did not re-title the revisited version! I’ll research if there’s a better answer! Queen fans accept both .. the first one displaying Roger’s magnificent falsetto. Queen used to close their concerts with In The Lap Of The Gods!

@@CelcaReact These are two completely different songs. Both are from Sheer Heart Attack (1974), Queen's 3rd album. These were the days of progressive rock, art rock and a lot of concept albums. Bands created albums instead of thinking about one song. So in an album context it is like a similar story that repeats, but in two completely different ways. The titles are similar, but these are two completely different and independent songs.

This is a great reation! You two are very honest and I love that you don't mind going back in the songs.

There is one important thing to know about Queen's live performances, they never tried to bring on stage the originally recorded sounds and even the live shows were different. I love your reactions.

I am always thrilled to see new people diving into Queens catalog. They are so much better live. Each member in their right is a brilliant musician. Any songs from their 1986 Wembley concert is awesome. They did 2 nights there. Saturday 7/12 is better in my opinion. Saturday’s version of this one was much better. He had a cold starting Friday night. Please react to Play the Game live in Montreal 1981 and Save Me live in Montreal 1981.

This version was in the early days closing the concerts with we are the champions. John Deacon is called Queens secret weapon - he and Roger are the steady ones - Brian and Freddie are the show stealers - together all four of them are a group never surpassed - they were just voted #.band of all times - with -the beatles second!!

John Deacon (bass) did not like to sing so he didn't sing often, only when they needed a lower voice and rumor has it that often his mic wasn't turned on, so he was singing but you couldn't hear it. He has a good voice, he just didn't like singing and was insecure about it. When you have Freddie, Brian and Roger singing, you can afford to have a bass player who chooses not to sing. Thank you for your reaction and I will keep an eye for the other Queen reactions.

Thank you for another reaction to an early Queen classic! If you have not yet reacted to "March of the Black Queen" be aware there are no live versions of the Queen song (that I have ever heard of), so please react to the audio version if you can't find the entire song done live. They also have a beautiful short song called "Nevermore" which you will love, though again I am not sure about a live version out there! Keep up the great work on your channel!

Great reaction, it can be confusing, it is great how you guys tried to really figure this out. These are actually two completely different songs. Queen often played these songs in medleys, because they had so many hits, there are only so much you can fit into two hours. There is a fuller Version Of In The Lap Of Gods Revisited at Hammersmith Odeon 1975 or The Rainbow 1974. Queen used to close their shows with this song, it was written for audience participation. It seems very obvious to have audience participation today, but in those days it really wasn't a thing people did, this was a new concept in 1974 when the song was created. Perhaps you can check out those early fuller versions by yourself, Freddie actually sang this better in 1986 then in 1974 & 1975. That is also something that is extremely rare for rock singers, Freddie was 40 in 1986, by this time, during this era of rock, 99% of singers had lost some sections from their voices. Some other interesting stuff to check out: Father To Son - Queen live at the Rainbow 1974 (amazing song and performance, better then the studio version) Ogre Battle - Queen live Hammersmith Odeon 1975 (Very early example of power metal) Liar - Queen live at the Rainbow 1974 (The 8 minute version)(Great progressive rock song, better then the studio version)

Tomorrow it should be In the lap of gods, we're not sure haha, it is really confusing, anyways we already have Orge Battle and Liar on our queue, but we add Father To Son now, as u maybe know we take them in orders so will be some time to we get there, but i really think we will react to ALL Queen's song, we have so many request by now haha! Freddie sings better when he got older? that is so rare like u said, he was the one and only one for sure, glad we learned so much about him/Queen, ty for your time here, and info!

John deacon, the bassist wrote their highest grossing song (I think) Another One Bites the Dust and you're my best friend

Because this performance is part of a medley, I love it, but it's too short for me! It was an early song created for audience participation. Sheer Heart Attack album - opens with In the Lap of the Gods and closes with In the Lap of the Gods (Revisited). Bookends for Side B. Different lyrics for sure. Different meanings. This one is meant to be sung live with the audience. The official lyric video is the best introduction to this song.

HI GUYS... To me, "In The Lap Of The Gods" seems to be about the beginning of a relationship, when everything seems possible and perfect. The melody is soft and sweet... He says "I'd do anything for you". (And near the end we have Roger's angelic "AHHHHS" wafting through.) Then, "In The Lap Of The Gods Revisited" is obviously about a relationship that's in trouble/probably nearing it's end. At the beginning, he's conflicted: "It's so easy but I can't do it. It's so risky but I gotta chance it. It's so funny (I think that line is sarcasm) but there's nothing to laugh about. My money, that's all you wanna talk about. I know what you want me to be; I'm no fool." Then, near the end (of the full song), the lyrics are "You say I could never let you go; that's not true." I think maybe it's supposed to be irony that in both situations - when he's first falling in love, and then later when he's falling out of love - he uses that same phrase "It's in the lap of the gods".🖖

It is confusing! They are two different songs. They are medleys in Wembley.
