Very sorry for your loss. I lost my first black kitty in June 2019 from cancer. He was 12 & I also found him outside along with his sister.. I think about him every single day 😭

I would totally call her Macchi (Maki) as a cute nickname!!

This makes me cry. Today, my favorite calico kitten died from neurological problem and she convulsed a lot. She screamed every time she convulsed and it was so painful to watch. I'm glad she isnt suffering anymore and resting easy in heaven. I thank them for saving another calico stray, the kitten is lucky to have people like them by her side.

So glad you saw her and picked her up. I was too late once--one of the saddest things I ever saw was a little newborn kitten lying deceased in a fire lane at a strip mall. People can be so careless. You need to keep your eyes open for the little things in life.

It's not always malice that causes kittens to end up at the side of the road. I was leaving McDonalds and saw a kitten drop out of the bottom of a car across the street. I picked her up, and took care of her (couldn't keep her, too many cats already, but i found her a furever home).

That is so sad. My chest feels so tight. I've rescued 2 street kittens four weeks old. My motto is "Go slow". And "I pause for 🐾 paws". Life is precious.

She's getting pretty big. It's wonderful that everyone gets along so well and there was a cat with great maternal instincts who was happy to show her the ropes. This little kitten was found by a very caring couple who appreciate the family they have assembled.

You got yourself a fur child. To her you are her adoptive parents and you've given her a great home with another cat and a dog. She's turned out great.

I found a calico or rather she found us, tried to find her a home because my wife was allergic but she was so wonderful, the sweetest cat I have ever seen my wife put up with sneezing, we had her for 19 wonderful years, I miss her so much.

It's possible her own mother (a feral cat) abandoned her because she was the smallest and weakest kitten in the litter. They do that.

I doubt a person would dump a newborn kitten in a crowded parking lot. I think mom dropped her and maybe got hit by a car or was sick and couldn't co,e back and get her. It's also possible that mom did go back to get her but they found the baby in the meantime.

Who wouldn't want to wake up to a Macchiato every morning, before they even get out of bed?!? That would make my day.

I love it when all you see is two streaks of cat run across a screen. Or when they are both staring at you in exactly the same pose. Or when one sneezes on the dog. Or when...

Thank you for rescuing this gorgeous, sweet baby. It's so fortunate that your paths crossed at exactly the right moment.

The kitten is even more pretty as she grows, her older sister and brother are very cute as well, you can tell they are very healthy and very loved by this two great human beings!

A couple of months ago me my mom and my sis found a calico kitten and my mom didn’t want anymore pets but only 5 minutes past and my mom wanted to keep her so we took her home have her a bath and know she’s big healthy and always getting into trouble.

I wonder if mom was transporting her kittens, got scared, put her down and never came back... ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL CAT! These guys were blessed with finding her :D

Both of my cats were found at only a few days old (years apart, they aren't related) abandoned by their parents and extremely small and underweight, so my family took them in and we raised them. 4 years later Liam is a huge and extremely spoiled adult cat. Our other cat Mila, just turned a year old last month. She's still on the smaller side, but she has a huge personality. Her and Liam are best friends and I'm so glad we took them in

People just open their front doors or a sidewalk. One time I opened my front door and all I found was a coughed up hairball from a cat.

The way a calico's fur developes it's patterns is so beautiful 😊

Great job but thumbs down on the collars with the bells. So a natural for cats and they can get hung up on things. Maybe their breakaway but cats are free creatures and colors are restricting.

My daughter found a 4 week old kitten in the grocery store parking lot. They were kicking it out of the way. She put it in her car and bought kitten replacement milk and a litter box, etc back in the store. Ironically this baby looks a lot like Tessa who is NOW 3 years old and loved very much (and well fed!!)

Aww I couldn't have left her there either, she found you, you were there at the right time, went for a coffee🍵 and got a kitten wow 😻😻😻

What a beautiful, sweet girl she is! Thank y’all for feeding her & taking care of her when you found her & not abandoning her! I can’t help but wonder how she got in the middle of the parking lot? There are rare exceptions, but almost all Calico and Tortoise Shell cats are female

Calicos are often viewed as signs of good luck- so, Macchiato being a beacon of light is extremely fitting! She succeeded in passing her good luck to them! She’s absolutely adorable, I adore calicos. 🧡🖤🤍

the age Macchiato was at she wouldn't have been able do her business without mom stimulating her I think. good thing Doris was there to teach her how to be a cat! think of all the things mom would have had to teach her!

I had a calico before and she used to follow me into the bathroom if I closed it she would literally open it and if I went to sleep she would sleep on top of me. I miss her I had her when she was a baby

What an absolute angel!! This couple gained a gift of a kitten~ I got my darling Sugar a short time after Covid started last year. She was in the middle of a busy road, white as snow! I'd say she was at least 6 weeks old, but she was so feisty when she got here (little thing tore up my thumb lol)! My grandpa got her as soon as he saw her on his way to the store. She took a little time to tame, but now i find her sleeping at my head on most mornings and waiting for me in the window as I come home from school. Not long after we got her, I lost two of my beloved cats... one was Allycat. I had Allycat for a good few years, cherished her and taught her tricks. But she vanished mysteriously one day and has yet to return... The second was Pepper, a very sweet tuxedo kitten I tamed and who would play with Sugar. She became ill unexpectedly and had to be put down (she rests in our backyard now). I truly feel like Sugar came into my life at such a right time. She makes my days so bright and I always feel comfort knowing grandpa and I saved her, and now I have someone who waits for me every day 💙

Love your open arms for a lil bit of fluff!! Doris is such a good big sister 💗

Macchiato's rescue is absolutely "kismet" & so well-fitting to her given name, due to her appearance, place & time of rescue. Just by looking at her (1) appearance it's obvious that her fur colour is exactly the same colour as a café macchiato, which has dark to light colour of browns, similar to an espresso coffee, & her white fur resembles the foam milk (or whip cream for those who likes to add whip cream on top). Then there's the (2) place of Macchiato's rescue, which happens to be her dad's routine visit to Starbucks, probably to buy a café macchiato. Then lastly, (3) Macchiato's adoptive parents couldn't find any shelters willing to accept a newly-born kitten due to the pandemic. So to best describe this rescue overall, it's considerably the "PERFECT STORM!" because all of the cosmic events (a.k.a. KISMET), being universally too coincidental, have all perfectly aligned to become the "PERFECT RESCUE!" Therefore, no one or nothing will ever have the power to tear this family apart because their BOND, as special as Macchiato and her adoptive mother & father have together, is meant to last & live together as a family forever! As corny as that may sound, it's true; and the honest ones are basically corny!

Calicos are some of the most special cats you’ll ever meet. I’m so lucky to have a spunky calico tabby named Maggie as not just my first cat, but my whole family’s first cat. We got her at 8 months old on Valentine’s Day 2015. She’s 6 1/2 right now, and she is so determined and feisty. We just found out that she’s been blind in her left eye the whole time we’ve had her because she suffered blunt force trauma to that eye as a kitten, which completely detached her retina. She doesn’t let that stop her though, she can still do whatever she pleases, including picking fights with her brother and sister!
