I was thinking the same exact thing!! Thank God JoAnna got her too!!! I was thinking the whole time this was the best day of her new life!!! Now she gets to go to a great home where she will be treated like the queen she is!!! And she will never have to fend for herself EVER again!!!! Oh and she will never have to give birth to her precious babies in someone's backyard EVER again!!! Thank God!!!!

She likely had been someone's pet, to be that willing to see people as someone who cares rather that something dangerous that might hurt her. Her willingness to be in the cage especially says that, because all of the indoor cats I've ever had panic at being confined in a small space, and I expect it would be more so with outdoor cats.

The momma had lots of scars. I doubt she EVER had a home. But animals are instinctive & know when someone is trying to help. Thank God for the volunteers. Such dedication, commitment & big hearts.

My parents when they wanted a kitten always picked the runt of the litter, probably so they could give effort to keep them alive that their mother wouldn't

All you have to do to get the mother is put the kittens where she can hear them. The mother cat cannot resist the sound. We finally caught a mother cat that had been having litter after litter in the area when we found her beautiful litter of kittens out in the woods. She would never come near people but when we had those kittens she ran into the house to be with them. She became a wonder indoor cat. They were the most beautiful kittens. Found homes for all of them.

Not every mother is like that. They can be too frightened to rescue their litter and just give up on them and leave.

Probably her first litter, with no idea what to do. Probably tossed out on the street when her people realized she was pregnant.

@@JacquelynRivera930 I would think under a year for sure. As a child I had one give birth just like that, all over the yard. She panicked from the pain being so small and young didnt help. The kitty I have now, had her first heat at barely five months. Luckily shes and indoor only and wasn't with a male. I promptly spayed her once her symptoms went away.

Mama broke my heart. She just wanted love, help and care. Her kittens are too cute, rip little Darko.

It's so sad, that stray cats and dogs have to give birth in messy and dirty backyards. But the people here knew to call Hope for Paws, so the sweeties were rescued and now will find loving homes. xoxo to all at Hope For Paws.

I find it so sad that so many animals give birth at all. Why are so few cats there neutered? 1 female and her kittens, can end up producing 100+ cats within about 2 years.. so much misery and despair!!!! So easily prevented.🥺

So sad about the wee runt who died. On the bright side, 4 kittens lived. In the wild, statistics say only one would've likely survived. Thank you, HFP, for the rescue!

It’s amazing how mama cat knew she was about to get help and she let them help 😔😔

It shatters my heart thinking about so many innocent angels like these, helplessly trying to survive on the streets. Oh, God bless you HFP. You & the many hopeful, innocent angels waiting for you & your loving hearts to rescue them are forever in my prayers.💕🙏💕

You should see what goes on in the Balkin countries. I deal with countless homeless pets in Montenegro. It’s terrible there. Serbia and Bosnia too. Homeless puppies and kittens in the streets

It's hard to lose even one, but I know they had the best care. And little Darko was loved even if it was for a brief time. Mama is a beautiful dark calico-like cat. I love Hope for Paws!!

RIP Darko! You will be missed, but you will have friends to play with at the Rainbow Bridge meadow while you wait for your mom and siblings to come with stories of their lives with good families! Tasha, you are a beautiful mama with beautiful kittens! Happy lives!

This is awesome, I live right outside Pittsburgh Pennsylvania and there is no one to even contact here.... Ive rescued atleast 50 myself but there are still so many more here that needs help. It's overwhelming and it breaks my heart. Please don't abandon animals cause it's a hard and cruel life. They don't deserve to be neglected, not a single one. If you need a friend help any animal.

@@juneyshu6197 keep up the good work... We fight the good fight. I just want to save them all, I don't know if maybe I was a cat in a past life or what but I worry about them and I just feel an overwhelming need to rescue them. It seems so unfair, they weren't meant to live in the streets.

I would like your advice. Is it animal abuse to get 2 rescue 🐕dogs, knowing you have no backyard, Noone to walk them, and "can't afford 😢to take them to the vet, all of this, so you can say, "I SAVED THEM."!?

The handling of the mother cat was wonderful. I am always surprised that people see these helpless little ones, little bits of life, and don’t carefully gather them up and keep them safe. I would have tucked the smallest into my bosom to warm up and take the family to a safe place before calling . Of course this mama was happy to be rescued. Would I be wrong?

I would've done the same thing ... the babies need to be warmed so that they build up an appetite. I just wish they would've shown her trying to bottle feed Darko, because it looked like she just put him in with the mom HOPING he'd latch on ... SO sad ... and a bit disappointing. But at least the other DARLING babies made it.

My beloved late Norwegian Elkhound’s name was Dasha. Miss her every day. What a low-stress rescue, Joanna! No doubt the whole family will find great homes. So nice that Queen Mama doesn’t seem to be a true feral cat.

She is so pretty. She must of been someone's pets at one point and got lost. I love calico's. I hope someone adopts her, cause I would in a heart beat.

She is inside my house now with her 4 babies, safe n sound, getting lots of food, love and all she needs...... She was abandoned because she had a collar on.....
