How have I never run into this channel before? What a gem. I raised my daughter alone as a single father and we thrift and antiqued all the time! We were just in the Omaha/Bennington area last week-end visiting our grandchildren and the tree colors were amazing!! I didn't realize how many trees the area has. I love that all the new housing developments plant so many trees. Kristen your home looks amazing. You have pulled everything together to create a beautiful, cozy home. I was thinking the same thing as I listened to her! I am in my 60s and, although I still love it when people compliment me on my home or a specific thing about me that they admire, I am not nearly as concerned about what others think as I did when I was younger. It is so much more important to be in relationship with the Lord, pleasing and obeying Him, and valuing family. Blessings!❤

I mentioned to you once that I am sort of a loner and I am so drawn to people like you that seem so alive and put together! That just goes to show you how we don't really know what people are going through. I know to cure these feelings of being less than what is expected is to go to the Lord! In case you’d like to know…When I am most moved by you is when you are real about what did and didn’t work out, your authenticity, your prayers or scriptures are just right( not preachy), your passion and great taste in decor, but most of all when you are silly and goofy as you are with your fellow KZreadrs. The fun part of you is what moves me to not be so serious in my own life. 💞

Please don’t stress about content and likes. This job as you call it should be fun and make you happy. The reason your follows love your content is because you keep it real!!! We don’t live the lives like the youtubers who have the perfect homes, we know that is not real. You are still young, once you turn 40 or even 50 you will not feel the need to seek approval by others. We waste so much time doing that. Sending happiness your way💖🌺🌼🌷

I actually love that you waited for the fall season before giving your tour. It does seem more authentic than people who are doing it in July and August. Let us viewers savour each season ourselves. Just the first scene ... a dog, an American flag, and a tire swing hanging from the tree. Seriously... does it getting any more home town than that! I do feel for you vloggers, as likes and subscribers equal approval which equals a lucrative channel. So even without intentionally needing approval, it is a requirement for a successful channel. Its just the nature of the business. But just don't compare what you have, how you style, what you thrift with others. God made us each unique people with our own visions. Follow your vision, your heart and your family's needs and comfort. Then your home will always be beautiful.

😭💗 So I recently started a new job as a cook at a child care center. I took the job with excitement and passion to nourish children and teachers with healthy nourishing foods but I quickly felt overwhelmed, disappointed and unappreciated by some of the teachers. I am the only Christian at my work. I and a sister from church have been praying for the staff and the children and have seen some wonderful changes but I have been struggling with seeking approval and appreciation from coworkers instead of relying on God to give me strength and peace. It is a battle of my flesh wanting to belong and be accepted but I know in my heart this is not my home. I must rely upon and share God’s love and grace daily so that God will be glorified. I have gotten to the age that I can't worry about what others think of me. I try to make my home my way and what makes me happy. Some would say my house is cluttered, some would say it looks like a store, and some would say I am a hoarder. I just have things I enjoy. Of course we all want approval from others but I want myself to be happy and enjoy what I have. I love your home and how you decorate. It's a lot of work to keep it up I am sure but it is so wonderful.

I began following your channel because you always seemed so grounded in your faith in the Lord. That is what I love so much about you Andrea and Amy you always put God first. Don't ever lose that for more likes or subscribers God gave you this channel to spread his word, keep the faith❤

Oh my goodness Kristen, I had to hop on and comment!! Your home is absolutely beautiful and all of your videos and I mean all of them are very very inspiring to me!!! I love how are you bring vintage and Thrift goods into your home! I just want you to know that I would consider myself to be creative, but I also don’t think I am super good at home decor. That being said, I think you bring a very unique and cozy feel to your home into this channel. I think what you do is incredible, and you are very gifted. I don’t know what other people comment that make you feel otherwise, but that’s what’s so beautiful about art and creativity… you can be as unique as you want, and everything is completely up to you. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If you think it’s beautiful and you think it’s fun then that’s exactly what it is! Just know that I am a huge fan of yours, and the scripture at the end of your videos really brings things into perspective as well. :) The only thing that I would try to change would be hanging the TV if you can! I love the guest bedroom so much. My husband isn’t super into vintage or antique’s so I can incorporate a ton but I’m hoping that changes in the future😂 I love the paintings and old photos!!!

As I am watching this on Sunday morning it is so special to watch a video that points me back to Christ. It is so easy to compare. My basement condo looks nothing like your house- but I know that the inspiration you share can help me to find joy in what God has given me and happiness in the small treasures I find along the way.

Hi Kristen.. your house is so beautiful. I thought I had an over abundance of Fall decor..you have more. Our house is small. I know a little 0f how you feel. A lot of people are minamalists and have quit decorating for the seasons. One year I did a little poll on jow many people dont decorate for Christmas..I coukd not believe people who thought it was useless, too much work etc. I want to celebrate Jesus birthday . I feel like decorating but putting our Savior first is a welcoming act. Thanks for being proud of your faith and admitting sometimes after all the work we do feel like we want some likes.. I just want a like in person from people who come to my house 😂, but I have to realize it may not be there thing. I remember one year a guy telling me he woukd never want his wife to decorate the kitchen. That is the only big room in our house so it is the most decorated. Thank you for the tour and the beautiful readings. Your flowers did well. Make sure when your flowers die out you keep your seeds. Much love ❤
