Yes. Buying something that had been highly customized does take away from the value. The people doing upgrades and these cars are doing them because they want them, not because it adds value. It takes away value, but adds what they want.

I've done some research and it turns out that "Slantnose" Porches were actually manufactured by Porsche and were designed to pay homage to the 935s, less than a thousand were produced. The original "option" or design was deemed the "Flachbau 911". I thought that was pretty interesting.

He'll maybe push it up to 55, but that's it and he's taking all the risk, cos it'll sit for ages it won't be a overnight seller and he has to frame it and it costs money to sell it and it takes room from the shop.
