counting calories is stupid. | what I *actually* eat in a day!

Head to squarespace.co... to save 10% off your first purchase of a website or domain using code JULIAAYERS
Hey friends and welcome! Just a reminder that counting your calories IS NOT a necessary thing to do to be a happy, healthy individual! Somedays your body may want more food, other days it may want less and that is completely normal. Fuel your body the majority of the time with foods that make you feel nourished, but don't restrict yourself from enjoying a craving. When we limit and restrict foods for no reason other than the fear they may make is "fat" or "unhealthy" that is a very dangerous mindset to fall into and I recommend talking to someone that can help you.
Slowly get in touch with your body and listen to it closely. The more we pay attention to ourselves the easier it becomes to eat when we are hungry, stop when we are full and nourish our bodies the way it makes us feel our best!
Sending everyone so much love!

I always just buy berries and freeze them myself in a bag that had blueberries prior! It saves the plastic use and berries are so easy and effortless to do so!

What a great and effortless idea! I’d love to do that, but sadly fresh berries are so much more expensive than the frozen ones here in Germany. :(

Also, die optimale Lösung quasi. 👍🏼

I think tracking calories every now and then can be a great tool and piece of information though it can easily get unhealthy for some. I used to track to learn about my protein intake and get that up because I just really struggled in that department despite always feeling so much better when I had more protein. Now I eat completely "intuitively" and feel great. I do track every now and then (at the END of the day so as to not influence my choices) to see how I'm doing and I do great most days. I also keep a limit to how many days I can track so I don't get obsessive and controlling.

Counting calories isn't stupid. Maybe it's not for you but for many people it's helpful. It could save someone's life who is struggling to eat/starving or save someone from dying of obesity. Much safer than bariatric surgery. I know for a lot of people it's a stressful waste of time but you shouldn't just write something off that has a valid purpose in this world just because it doesn't help you.

Apparently Canada is different in that department, bcs I've never seen a resealable bag in the frozen food isle in the countries I lived in (Germany and Finland). I have to use tape to keep my peas, blueberries etc. from going everywhere in my freezer :D Would really appreciate resealable bags, big fan of reusing everything if possible!
