Learn to pronounce numbers 1-100 in English with an Australian accent.
Hey, you mob! Yeah, I haven't done a pronunciation exercise with numbers in a while.
So today, I am going to count from 1 to 100 with an Australian accent!
In this video, for each number I count, I will display the Australian phonetic pronunciation key on screen.
As you become more familiar with the symbols, you will be able to associate them with the correct sound.
It will also be helpful if you pause the video with every number I count and repeat the pronunciation after me.
It was fast, quick, and fun making that video; see you in the next episode!
Improve your listening skills today - listen, play, & pause this episode - and start speaking like a native English speaker!
If you're someone learning Australian English as a second language and you want to improve your pronunciation, reduce your foreign accent and sound more like an Australian when you speak English, check out my content at Aussie English - www.aussieenglish.com.au

I have an idea for Aussie English. What if you get the songs from Australian Crawl such as: “Downhearted” and “Errol” and invite the audience to sing what they can understand without looking at the lyrics. It will be hilarious 😆

It's because the T /t/ sound has disappeared and you bounce of the N /n/ in each case :D That often happens when you have NT /n[t]/ in a word.

Hey Pete. Do you think you could do a video on how not to sound British when attempting the Aussie accent? You did it just a little bit a little while ago when you reviewed the British people doing the Aussie accent and I thought that was very interesting. The Aussie and British accents definitely do have a lot of similarities so sometimes it's a little hard to know how to follow directions (like saying ah instead of er) and still make it different from British. Thanks!

Learning the most common words in an Aussie accent is super impotant because those are the words you'll encounter the most and will sound more Aussie

I have an Aussie friend that pronounces "three" as "free." Is this unique to him or do a lot of Aussies have trouble with the "th" sound? In the video he said "three" without issue.

It's either a speech impediment, laziness, or sign of lower socioeconomic background. Some Brits do it. I knew someone at uni who did it but it was a speech impediment. The host of this channel pronounces the voiceless TH this way. -kzread.info/dron/qZMgLgGlYAWvSU8lZ9xiVg.html
