As a Czech myself, I have to remind you, that at the Munich conference no representative of the Czech side was present, therefore we call it "About us, without us", or the "Munich betrayal".... There was no reaction from the West then in 1948 to the communist coup, or 1968 to the invasion of USSR troops, ending the period of liberalization called the "Prague spring".... And people are wondering then why we are the most eurosceptic nation within the EU...

Liberation of German-occupied territories? Eastern Europe wasn't liberated - that is; Soviet war/terror criminals replaced German war/terror criminals. Polish resistance members were for instance jailed or transferred to former German concentration camp Majdanek etc.

Sad but true, both England and France did betray the Czech,no amount of "history is written by the Victor's" can hide or deny that fact. They also betrayed the Polish but at least they declared war on Germany.

Unfortunately this is what always happens with smaller countries. You have bigger powers making decisions on your own behalf. And no, Czechs are not the only euro skeptics, the whole Eastern Europe is - let's say Churchill is not very popular

@@RosispergiaWell, we're very well integrated in the EU and we never ever had any issue with the rule of law etc., like f.e. Hungary or Poland, but according to surveys, we are the most eurosceptic nation - literally we end up as the last one in any survey.... Btw. we are not Eastern Europe, but a Central one - we are very allergic to that, so when in Prague, reffer to us as Central Europeans then, many thanks

I would have started this doc with the military entering the de-militarized Rhineland on 7 - March - 1936. This was Hitlers first movement testing the French. The German High Command, most notebly Goring, were terrified the French would react. With a much larger army, the French would have destroyed the Germans. It was this event’s lack of response from the western nations, that showed the Germans, they could push past the limits of the Treaty of Versailles. It is this event, that I believe, was the start of all to happen.
