"Beer was as much part of the German national identity as Lederhosen." Beer is part of the German national identity; Lederhosen are part of the regional identity of Bavaria in its borders before 1789.

The 1932 games in Los Angeles were held during the worst year of the Great Depression. To compare them to what happened in Berlin in 1936 is ridiculous. You don't need to create your own propaganda in 2023 to talk about how bad these guys were in 1936 and how things were only going to get worse in the future.

Nobody seems to remember how the Soviet Union and East Bloc countries dominated many sports during the Olympics during the time of Communism. Their "amateur" athletes were in fact professional. All they did was train for the games and weren't required to work like amateur athletes in the west. Add the "special vitamins" and "supplements" they took, and in sports that were subjective like gymnastics and diving they had sympathetic judges from east and west to rule in their favor. Germany just did it first in 1936.

The Olympics have been tainted for years - who can forget the Chinese women swimmers, the USSR and Eastern Bloc child athletes drugged to the eyeballs - and then there's the US athletes like Flo-Jo and others in the 80s doped up too! A farce that has bankrupted entire countries - the true Lords of the Rings!

Yeah, that's right. ....The Jews of Germany would sporadically run around invading villages, outdoor concerts, and people's homes, children's nurseries, etc.) and slaughter ordinary German civilians, not to mention firing rockets randomly into German communities. ... Yeah. Like "Palestinians". Of course, the Germans would only round up and deport those Jews doing those terrible things while respecting the full civic rights of those Jews who refrained from doing such acts; right?!? ...You know, like the TWO MILLION Arab-Israelis who are exactly the same ethnicity as the "Palestinians", yet escape the "bad treatment" somehow. Yes?
