Those bike frames were NSU Quickly mopeds, made in Germany from early 1950's to early 60's. They were very prolific on our roads.

Top Brass lager. I remember it well. It’s what we drank when we couldn’t get water.

I'd love to know how the back end of a 1930's Fordson tractor got down there, though. Great explore, and odd to see areas that had obviously been well 'partied' in, and areas full of old gear that had pretty much been left alone by the yobs. I was looking at the floor, and in places it looked a bit 'World of foot injury'. Trainers might not cut it, if you see what I mean. A nail through the foot is no fun at all - I speak from painful experience. After that, never went anywhere without solid boots.

Coulsdon shelter was used for storing hospital equipment for a few years from Cane Hill Asylum..after WW2 then was a workshop for car repairs....

The cylinder Chris looks at is definitely a vacuum.cleaner. We had one very similar with the skids on the bottom. Possibly an Electrolux.

That's not a pillar drill at 5:10 it's a capstan attachment for a lathe. A fairly big lathe probably. Capstan lathes were used for mass production by semi-skilled operators in the days before CNC

Go at the pile at the start, i think the lathe's flat belt pulley is in the pile. Despite the many farm item machinery parts in there, i'm leaning towards a lathe, the size is just about right for something from that time frame (reused machinery for the war effort and alike).

Hi IKS Exploration , just to let you know there is a abandoned bunker in woodland park Newport South Wales , it has a generator with old baker-light dials bunk beds about 9 rooms all flooded to about 2 foot throughout .

It would be nice if you used a laser distance measure and a compass to map out the tunnels and then you could find out where the blocked up entrances were above ground. And besides it would give a better idea exactly how much area the tunnels covered. The tubular heaters you found are called tubular heaters and you can still buy them today.

Nice to see you guys out of your area.. The bunker was used for the Hospital/asylum at the top of the field back in the war time also the two machines you where looking at near the end of the vid had some relevance as the bunker was used to make and test optical lenses in the dark which I think is why some of it is painted black .. Anyway great vid as always I'm sure I will bump into you one day all the best👍🏻

In case anybody is wondering about the Bike Frames and the wheels They are from off a N S U Mopped and the other was a Raleigh Moped of the sixties My Dad Bought a N S U Moped I believe it was a 50 cc and they were very Fast {going Down Hills } The one My Dad had Kept Breaking Down on him: I asked him what N S U Stood for where he Replied {No Sodding Use} The Raleigh Moped was as Basic as they Could be: You could Either Pedal it to Start the 49 cc engine Or put it on its stand and Pedal it until it Started: The Handle Bar was a Basic Handle Bar where you By Turning a Bolt within the Handle bar to where you Could adjust the Handle Bar to your Liking to whatever Height you wanted to Lift or lower the Stem. Problem was that if the Bolt did not Get Tightened enough the Stem would shoot out and all you'd be Doing would be Holding the Handle Bar and of course the Moped would Crash into a wall as it happened with me when I was going to work. Very Funny if you Happened to be a Bystander watching

The 'pump' at 23:00 is a compressor, piston type...... either used for compressed air... or vacuum... or refrigerant use.

have you tried the tunnels and aircraft assembly utility at monkton farleigh i believe, it was being reclaimed back in 1990's it had the largest conveyor belt remains that was being reclaimed back then it would be great to see you explore there oh the big power station ot the centre, its so big quad bikes loads of parallel tunnels stretched for bloody miles each one parallel to the others .

IKS are probably the only people who have not been up Farleigh Down tunnel! The super huge generator is no longer accessible as the former museum is now owned by Restore who will not let anyone down there :(

Those machines at 22:30, I'm pretty sure they are vacuum deposition machines. A small quantity of material is vaporized in a vacuum chamber with an electric current and the resulting cloud coats your work with a very thin film. There would have been some sort of dome lid on the top left of the machine to contain the vacuum. Pretty specialized equipment that, most amazing find ever in an air raid shelter. Could the metal discs have been sawblade blanks? I have no idea if sawblades are made that way, with the teeth cut last, but I guess it is possible. Love your videos, especially those without the comedian.

lots of history in there with all the old tools and other things i would love to have some one drop off a load of stuff like that i could make a lot of yard art with that stuff

I'm thinking the engine found is possibly from an old Morris engined tractor which certainly the back axle is likely from, just as the "asbestos" is said, the Solex carb can be seen on the floor.

Hey IKS Exploration, I would like to invite you someday if you're in my area, I live next to the french border in Germany, it is called Saarland, my team and I are also into exploring old bunkers and lost places, we have been in many bunkers of the Maginot line and some old forts from the 1st World War that have been also used in the 2nd World War, in one of them are still awesome paintings from german soldiers that were stationed there in there 1st World War, If you're interested just say it. Greetings from Germany.

Could what you thought was a pillar drill be an English Wheel used for putting a curve in to sheet metal? Great video though, i thoroughly enjoy watching your explorations.

Pretty sure this is Coulsdon deep shelter or something eerily similar. A lot of history behind it from a private owner who used to store ice to developing camera photos and a few raves here and there.

I think I used to go in there with my mates in the 80's, less graffiti then. Is this on the edge of London in a town with the initial C? I don't wanna more and give the location away although it would be difficult to find if you didn't know where to look!

if I was u guys I head back there with a pickup and grab those bike frames and anything else u can haul. a lot of hose things are hard to come by, not to mention worth a bob or 2. would be good to save them from damnation! haha

lots of good steel down there, if you put the work in hauling all that stuff out, you could profit a few hundred in scrapping it all

looks like you've found a engine down there it looks like it still has its generator instead of a normal alternator charging system I think they used it to manufacture vehicles or store vehicle parts in there

Hello, i have never seen an air raid shelter with lots of rusting artefacts before and lots of people have been visiting this bunker over the years leaving their rubbish. I thought your video was excellent and really interesting. Have you considered buying some masks for asbestos protection and some safety boots, to keep you safe. from danger.

Cuprinol is still a thing - copper based biocide used to preserve wood. I would love to dig around inside there. Looks like we got a good idea of what WWII era bomb proof factories looked like. Imagine the shocked look on the faces of modern Occupational Health and Safety people lol! I am supposing that there may be some nasty surprises amongst all the junk in there, such as rotting cans of Cuprinol lol.

Theres an exit ,is it gonna go anywhere , probably out !

Was those tunnels being dug by hand ? or they had some machinery ?

What a shame! The place is dry and still basically structurally sound and yet in GB, the homeless population is growing and the place could be renovated and provide temporary housing for literally thousands. I wonder if one could buy that property?

At minute 22 those two devices look like sterilizing machines in a hospital uses vacuum to make more efficient at reaching needed temperature.

Classic cut and cover design.at the start.not tunnelled out. but dug from above then covered eith beams etc.then amazing arch brickwork. Ace!! shame about the bloody vandalism.

Why did the U.K. abandon these sites instead of preserving them?

In that corner pile, the wide all metal wheel is a flat belt pulley. Makes you wonder what would an old tech item like that be doing in a WW2 bunker pile.

Wasn't that engine a Mini engine? I haven't looked at a proper Mini engine in a while, but i seem to remember that they had that split exhaust manifold setup.

That extinguisher looks like those types that you'd drop on the floor to pierce the cap and start the chemical(??) reaction that would pressurize the tank. Channel name 805ROADKING has a video on them, very interesting (he converts an old one in to a lamp, but also details and shows on the function and use of one).

Guys PLEASE WEAR GOOD RESPIRATORS when underground in these places. Everytime I was in old buildings we wore cartridge respirators. In some of your shots I can see white fibre blowing around! Thats Asbestos I would hate for anything to hapen to you! BEST EXPLORE YET! WOW! The wheels you point out at 1:24 is from a small rail wagon. When building the long tunnels they paid temporary rails to bring out spoil they were digging. like mine carts. The tracks are gone but a lot of evidence this was used for some sort of industry. The stuff in there is a MINEFIELD of history a museum would love! 4:32 that is part of machinery made by Oerlikon Balzers! Oerlikon made guns in WW2! It aapears to have belt drive pullies so part of a larger machine. I,m an engineer and into vintage machinery I can recognise a TINY part of a machine and pretty much work out what it was thats why your explores are briliant. I quit Urbex 10 years ago got too old :( OMG the futher you go in did you realise how much WW2 artifacts and machinery is down there??? 5:02 very old Alladin Praffin heater (remains of) 5:09 as you say a pillar drill. I am suspecting you have come across one of the small industries that went underground in WW2 to avoid bombing, this doesnt appear to be totally a shelter! 5:21 the dark green trestle type thing is again part of a machine. GUYS YOU HAVE FOUND some sort of production facility! With the many alcoves on the wall I am thinking 'possibly' aircraft instruments!! 6:47 look like gauges from an aircraft LOADS of them. 5:39 NORMANDIE ANALYTICAL that is an extraction system!! OK got it! The concrete beams above close off entrances that went UP into a larger factory or building, where it changes from brick arck to flat concrete each one is a old access point. Seen these before in tunnels under Farnboro'! 10:09 definitel an old Kelvinator or Hoover vaccum circa 1930 ish 11:47 Look like Fordson wheels NEVER had rubber just spikes for muddy ground. They are worth a fortune alone! 12:31 those tractor wheels and transmission would have been lowered down through here, they probably weigh over a ton! 14:12 guys the areas that are black are probably SOOT! In WW2 very possibly STEAM engine generators? OMG THEY GO FOR MILES! Was this Dover?
