Stan's speaking Te Reo Maori. The native tongue of New Zealand Maori. The song is about reclaiming your culture and identity back after the colonisers made a great effect to fully integrate indigenous peoples into the European way of life. In the process, a great deal of indigenous languages have been lost, and many are on their way out. This is a call to all people to preserve your ancestral heritage, your language, your customs and rituals and your way of life.

You are an Indigenous person. That's why you were touched so much. Even if you didn't understand the Māori language. It's universal with all the Originals. You feel it in your soul.

Please listen to his remake of Ultralightbeam. You will absolutely love it and after that one you need to watch his version of Amazing Grace live with the Levites.
