Turkey is like natural fortress, mountainous, a lot of choke points, artillery alone would make it impossible to move forward. Russians tried that many times before, as well as Europeans, after Turkey losing multiple of wars, still did not work. Even Mongols failed to pass central Anatolia.

We live on this earth materially, it's a big idea admittedly but it is class which has been the primary factor in history, not (believe it or not) ; Race, nationality, war etc although these things have always on the surface been expressed. +erdal0 Chechens and other groups such as them are now very loyal to the Russian gobernment, especially to Putin. The terrorist organizations have been shut down using the help of the locals, and now those locals that have helped shut down those terrorists are now strong counter terrorist units. Azerbs and Armenians might be against each other, but they are both strong allies of Russia, and all groups mentioned hate Turkey. Only the Georgians would go against, but not even all Georgians, as it is mostly the government that hates Russia, and Abkhazia and South Osettia would be for Russia. Don't assume just because they are both Muslim they would be fighting for each other. Many people in that area hate Turkey.

Based on ukraine being able to, turkey should roll them up..

Even as pro USA as I am I do think the US could not win a war against the world without at least beating Mexico and Canada into submission to where they end up part of our military force. Then we could potentially hold off the rest of the world and mount an offensive.

Besides invading Canada and Mexico, the US should also invade the island nations near it like Cuba. Taking the islands will mean the US will be able to have navy bases to defend itself and attack Transport Ships. The biggest disadvantage the US has in terms of its small army size. It would need to massive increase it if it wants to have a homeguard and invade into the Central and South American Nations. After that, I can't see what else the US can do except sign a peace treaty. Once the US controls all the Americas, it can deny all Foreign nations the ability to mount an invasion. On the flip side, the US can't really invade other nations beyond that as it would likely be fighting partisans in newly conquered territory, and would need a large force in the land to keep the peace. The US Airforce and Navy are very strong, and if the US needs to, it can bring the Iowa class Battleships back from retirement and used to defend the coast. The only one who could launch an attack into the US would be Russia into Alaska, but that attack seems like a non-starter. In terms of population size, the US has the third largest population, so it can replace its loses for some time. Finally, the US would have to deal with the fact that it imports $300 billion dollars worth of oil and would have to ration it to support its army. It pretty much comes down to 1. How much could the US lose in military loses before it catches up to them? 2. How large can it build its army before it hurts its industry by taking people away from much needed jobs at home. 3. How long can the US last on its domestic oil and its reserves? 4. How long would the US take to invade all of the Americas before a massive invasion is launched, and how long would it take for the World to build up such a force? 5. Will it be possible to defend the land it captures or would the US' military be too divided to defend or even launch more invasions?

The US's strongest strength is if you stuck all the Navies in the entire world they would still lose. The US would need to prevent a ground war at all cost which is why they would need to take over and fortify Mexico, and Canada. The world would be stuck building up the forces necessary to conduct an offensive against a nation that has the most technologically advanced military, and the most heavily armed civilian population in the world. The US wouldn't even need to produce small arms necessary to arm every man woman and child. So on home turf the US would be a nasty place to invade for anyone if they could even get to our shores in the first place. Ultimately though 300 million people versus 6.7 billion would allow the world to win out in the long run. Without the nuclear option the US just wouldn't be able to hold off everyone at once without conquering and combining forces with their defeated foes and even that would be insane to accomplish. Occupations take years if not decades and with a insurgency getting support from everyone else there just would be no way.

It would more or less come down to a fight of who's economy can sustain the massive trade losses from the US going solo. On one hand the US can produce most of its need by itself , on the other we do mass amounts of exporting (a lot of weapons btw) which would play a huge role in global economics. Making a land invasion on US soil would be damn near impossible short of a massive tactical nuclear strike along one of our coast lines or borders, which would in turn result in a retaliatory nuclear strike on any forces that do land. Quite honestly if the world decided to fight the US they would be hard pressed to win simply due to the inability to gather ground forces large enough to invade the land and survive initial touch down.

I saw the link on Greece v. Germany. I am not convinced though a lot of the information is ambiguous. it doesn't say what fighter jets or Tanks each are using. While the link shows Greece has an advantage in fighting vehicles, Germany spends much more on military and has a much greater ability to replenish losses due to prolonged conflict with it's superior manpower and industry. Would be interesting theory crafting though.

Unlikely. The American military is more powerful than the European countries combined. Add to that that Europe is decentralized and filled with ethnic divisions and mistrust, and cooperation in a prolonged military engagement is questionable. Europe gets much of its hardware from America and has limited to know force projection in a fight that would span continents. Their navies are small, and America has a 5 to 1 lead in carriers and a significantly larger navy. Finally, the fact you are dealing with multiple national militaries means that much of Europe's military resources are wasted on redundant units. This means that the money and resources America spends on its military actually goes much further in producing military capacity than it does on Europe. The European Military focuses on continental defense and could probably inflict significant casualties on an invading American force, however they wouldn't be able to invade America, operate on the ocean's or coordinate defense of individual countries. The result would be that Europe could only hope for a draw, and probably would be ultimately defeated while inflicting heavy casualties invading Americans.

Russia won 2 against half of Europe while allied with the other half of Europe and lost one time under the same conditions. But the point is Europe and Russia have different advantages and disadvantages and honestly I see the russians have an early advantage and the europeans a mid and late advantage. So I'm really unsure who would win, which is why I hope the commisar makes a video about russia vs europe

Though I do have to say I think if War between Russian Federation and the EU came, many EU nations would leave EU very very quickly, many European people would be up in arms against their states, and some whole states (Hungary, Czech Respublic, etc.) may even join Russia in hopes of getting a better deal after the conflict. I doubt Iraq would let Iran move through their borders. The likelihood of a conflict like that would be more plausible with border Arab nations. I think a better one would be Iran vs Saudi Arabia or Israel vs Syria, Jordan, and Egypt

I think Iraq cooperation with Iran wouldn't be unheard of, Iraq and Iran are culturally similar and some powerful political factions are real close with Iran. Also, I don't think that Egypt or Jordan really want to cooperate with Syria. Syria is also close to Iran and could easily drag Iran into any conflict it had with Israel.

flailios most countries with rough terrain never get successfully invaded. Exp: Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iran. It's a huge deal and a deterrent no matter how advanced the aggressors are.

I did. Afghanistan for sure. We still have Taliban strongholds after so many years. I guess you can call that high ground but its impossible to track or get supplies to even if you get t the higher ground. The natives always have Terrain advantage in every war. Doesn't matter where. Better adapted and help from locals. Also Germany invading Russia in WW2.

***** I think he was trying to make it balanced? for the turks because here are some other factors he failed on. 1. He said the tech level for russia between 1940's and current is relatively the same. This alone made me go "the fuck dude?" 2. He is treating Russia like its the 1990's version not it's current high professional state. Example he claimed what 1-2 sorties a day? that's cute in Syria they are doing 40 something per day no issue. 3. His information is based on "internet experts" he clearly shows he has no real background with the armed forces. 4. He greatly underestimated Russia fleet let alone their submarines. 5. He acts like turkish systems can compare to Russians via missiles etc which Russian ones are vastly superior. 6. turkish troops have been fighting kurds on their own soil for 10 plus years and still haven't been able to defeat them. Okay Turkey is super close to being thrown out of NATO. There would be no Allies for Turkey, but Greece (backed by the USA) would likely join the war against the Turks. Belarus would support Russia, and the Kurds would revolt and declare independence. The Kurds would then be backed by the USA with weapons, Intel, supplies, and leadership and the Turks would suffer a crushing defeat on 3 sides. Lose all of it's islands. Lose the Kurdish populated regions to a new independent country. Lose the American military bases and their revenue. Trust me real situation would be much worse for Turkey. France would beat Germany for sure. The French Armed Forces are much more competent than the Bundeswehr nowadays. China vs Russia would probably end in a stalemate due to how huge the two are, but with Russia probably doing much more damage. China would beat Japan, but how hard they would win depends on whether they can manage a maritime invasion of the isles. Turkey would definitely beat Greece on its own, but it depends on what the British would do. (because of Cyprus)

ottoman empire fought well considering their size and limited amrs industry they resisted the british empire and it's colonies for 4 years and fought with russian hordes for 2-3 years they also repelled an allied invasion in gallipolli ottoman officers and leadership was generally poor in offensives but they did great at defending before the mass mobilization ottoman army was professional well trained and well equipped you can see what ottomans can do with good logistics and proper leadership in gallipolli

One thing to note though, there is mandatory national service in Turkey, every Turkish man serves in the army at the age of 20, which means every Turkish male over the age of 20 is a more or less capable soldier, at times of war, with the population of around 80 million, Turkey would have literally at the very least a few million capable soldiers ready for any land battle. :)

Er.. Binkov, Russia has a canal system which allowed it's Baltic and Arctic fleet goes to the Black Sea without having to go all the way around Europe.

Me Georgian man, watching this video, and thinking " am I a joke to you guys ?" Lol it's really hard to open front line in cucasus, because of climate and huge mountains. I bet front line will be in Black Sea. With war ships, submarines, descant, helicopters and long distance rockets. Like Satan 1. If u ever been to border between Turkey and Georgia, you won't even think there will be a front line. There is only tiny road near the mountain. Two cars can hardly fit there.

Love this series! Keep it up! A strange request: Australia vs Indonesia, it's never been a significant part of the world. But with the south China seas issue heating up, it may end up being a very important part in USE vs China when China comes to power. Also, there are drastic differences between the two nations. Indonesia is the 4th most populated country, densely packed onto islands. Meanwhile, Australia is very spread out with small population but a first world countries military. Historically we had a small cold war with them in the 1990's.

Masood Jalal If Russia cuts the gas supply Turkey can buy more from Iran and Azerbaijan. It would be more expensive for Turkey but it wouldn’t have too much influence on war.

yet geopolitically in the caucus turkey has much more allies in the caucus, russia only has armenia but turkey has georgia and azerbaijan, this isn't even taking in account of nato

When Georgia shelled Russian peacekeeping base (to whose existance it agreed too, so that war would stop) and killed I believe 10 peacekeepers and wounded 15, including a Russian general, and then shelled villages with GRAD MLRS's, killing hundreds, for which Russia kicked Georgian butt, hard, in 5 days, with 10 times LESS troops then US armed, US trained and US advised (led) Georgians???
