Great work as always! These videos are very interesting because the active military of many countries isn't common knowledge, and I find hypothetical situations like this can lead to me learning more about how these countries stand on the international stage (not only militarily). I had assumed Saudi Arabia would fair better because of how modern their military is due to funding but I didn't realise how large the population gap was between the two! Definitely interesting seeing a hypothetical scenario where a country could plausibly invade a technologically superior one. Especially in this day and age where automation and technology is so capable.

I'd give it to Iran, at their weakest, right after the Iranian revolution, they stalemated Saddams Iraq. That might not seem very impressive, but at the time Iraq was massively supported by the two superpowers, and it seems like to me almost the whole world, Iraqis even had the element of surprise and chemical weapons from the West(who turned a blind eye to Iraq using it on Iranian cities) and they still couldn't win. Iran despite being under massive sanctions, has if I remember correctly over the past twenty years had the fastest growth of scientific output in the world.

Saudi arabia is a defensive country. So it will do better when defending itself. In 2016 about 57 houthis attempted to enter najran but were shot down by the saudi defensive power. There were no casualties to saudi arabia.(which i mean is that no saudi soldiers died.) only 5 of the houthis escaped.

If a simple American soldier sees a potencial target he can literally just ask any near by plane to shoot it down and it will be there in a matter of minutes. If a Saudi soldier sees a target it has to call his oficial and his oficial his oficial and do that until word gets to someone ok the royal family and then the answer has to travel all the way down back to the pilot. It is a completely retarded and inefficient system. Saudi tanks also has no foot soldiers protecting them and countless times have western and Russians soldiers say that the Saudis gave the weakest moral in the world.

Iran's army isn't that good they had 60,000 men in Syria and they were still being defeated and pushed back with air support, their casualties are also immense for a powerful military fighting in a proxy war, for example Turkey had 71 dead (which is also enormous, meanwhile Iran's lowest casualty estimate is 1,000 and probably much higher.

what a joke. i myself was involved in that crisis at a time and the highest number of iranians in syrian soil was 7000 and they were deployed for the liberation of aleppo. the highest number of casualties from iranians in one battle was in khantuman and only 14 soldiers were killed. you don't need to say things when you don't have the information.

there is a huge difference between iranian soldiers and "iranian backed" soldiers. iranian backed soldiers consist of hezbollah , fatemioun brigade , liwa al quds and etc. none of them are iranians and they did not , and i emphasize , the did not have any iranian logistic support due to political aspects of syrian war.

Personally I think Iran might have more of an advantage than he gives it credit for. The Iraqi government would try to remain neutral, but there are large and powerful pro-Iran militias in Iraq as well. In the event of an Iran-Saudi war, these pro-Iran militias may attempt a coup to seize control of the Iraqi government and bring it into the war on Iran's side.

Joker well the most key point is Iran would have zero reason to attack. As said in video their military is defence geared. So it is kinda pointless to ask 'what would hapoen, if Iran attacked Saudi Arabia?'. They wouldn't. They have no reason to pretty much. Nor would Saudis really have reason to openly attack Iran. Iran has massive man power, terrain etc. advantage. It would be pointless attack. Actually the only realistic scenario is USA flaming the flames of anger and getting Saudis to support USA hostile attack against Iran. Since the USA military industrial neocon wing seems to still be butt hurt about Iranians throwing out the USA puppet dictator of a Shah in the 1970s. Said USA neocons have been looking for excuse to attack Iran ever since their patsy Saddam Hussein failed in his attack against Iran in the 1980s. Not that they really need a reason. Benefits of professional army. Everybody volunteered and is paid so no problems explaining to population why forced draft conscripts are fighting in South Asian jungle. Plus one has to spend that way oversized defence budget on something. Can't buy more cruise missiles, before one has emptied the storage depo of the old ones. Unlike tanks or older airplanes one can't just leave combat ready missiles lying around in the open desert for cheap storage.

you realize Saudi Arabia have one of the best Air defenses in the region right ? S-400 and American newest THAAD system with Patriot pac-3 easily intercepted 200 ballistic missiles from Houthis with 100% success not to mention water treatment not only in the Arabian gulf area but even in the Red sea plus Water storages in all major cities while smaller ones have wells Iran even though they have more water / food resources their people did a revolution because they can't buy eggs in Jan. 2018 LOL their government is too busy spending money on funding terrorist militias in Iraq , Syria , Lebanon , Yemen instead of feeding their people and have high standards of living like we have here in GCC

Voids The video is strategic/tactical analysis, not political analysis. In a real war, there are morale, politics, and allies . It doesn't matter if you got a full chess piece and your opponent has only a king left, if you knock down your own king piece, you lose.

no subscribe no it isn't. The calculus clearly shows with only these two countries involved neither can gain anything by attacking. Thus unless the leadership of militaries are complete maniacs, neither will attack the other. It would mean massive expedanture of resources and loss of life for zero gain. Rather the most likely scenario is USA attacking Iran and bringing Saudis along for the ride. However even that would be piss poor idea. Iran is way bigger and tougher nut to crack than Iraq. Sure USA again could ruin the Airforce and formal mechanized military. However they will again (just like in Iraq) end up trying to counter a locally backed guerrilla resistance with troops and equipment trained and meant for fighting another formal army on open battle field. As long as local population support continues, that is unwinnable war for the invader. It may take decade, but eventually the cost piles up too much and will to fight such occupation war in foreign land vanes. USA leaves, Iranians win.

+Ari Takalo There is a very good chance Iraq would support Iran in a conflict. Quatar and Yemen too. So that does make the conflict more likely. SA has been stepping on everyone's toes for a while.

The Iranians I have met so far were all rather intelligent and agreeable. I cannot say the same with the Saudis. I hope Iranian people would one day get rid of the Islamist government and be free of military conflicts. Persian culture is much more than what the Islamists had envisioned for Iran, and Iranian people do not deserve one devastating war after another! May freedom and peace be with you.

All Iranian people would like Iran to become like before Islamic revolution, the best ally of US because we have a lot of things in common in our culture, that's why there is over 12 000 000 Iranian in the US! Both Saudi Arabia and Iran have lots of corruption. Saudi is ranked 62 in corruption and Iran is ranked worse at 131 (lower rank means less corruption): www.transparency.org/news/feature/corruption_perceptions_index_2016 There are not many if any soldiers who escaped in Yemen, that's big lie. There was one mention of a guy who was supposedly a Saudi soldier who defected but his ID was fake and his uniform had the wrong insignia he claimed to have while on video.

Lots of money won't save you. The Saudi army is utterly useless. The generals are all obese politicians that bought their way to power. The soldiers don't even want to fight for their oppressive monarchy. The Saudi troops don't know how to operate the new and expensive Western military hardware. Most importantly, the Saudis have no real experience. They're getting their ass handed to them in Yemen because of this. Meanwhile the Iranian army has a ton of experience and has some of the most well-trained veterans in the entire world, having had fought in Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan. Iranian troops have a ton of morale and are used to their fighting equipment. People need to consider things like morale and experience in war. On paper, Iraq would've destroyed Iran, but that never happened. Same would happen with Saudis against Iran, Saudis would get destroyed too. If Binkov included morale in this video, result would be vastly different.

tsilihin xuaF Geography-wise, India can mobilize larger number of force into China faster than the other way around, because there are very few infrastructures in southwestern China, and most of Chinese forces are concentrated in the east. Also, India has manpower advantage in a long-run, because India has the world's largest population of young people. Regardless, this war is logistically unrealistic because there's no strategic point of India pushing into Tibet, and China will have trouble getting large number of their forces to southwestern area, so I bet my ass that the battle will resulted in a draw.

The houthisin Yemen, likely equipped with t55's, no air power, no technology from any modern era( ie SA missles) and they gave Saudi Arabia a real hard time. Iran, would give the sunni dominant country a real whoop ass.

Saudi arabia is a defensive country. So it will do better when defending itself. In 2016 about 57 houthis attempted to enter najran but were shot down by the saudi defensive power. There were no casualties to saudi arabia.(which i mean is that no saudi soldiers died.) only 5 of the houthis escaped.
