Mostly because your voice is calm and soothing, you don’t talk so fast that it’s hard to listen to separate the words and I love your willingness to share your customers works and your going’s on in your busy world.? This is my favorite one so far because I adore Kansas trouble!!!!!! You made my day today! Thank you! I consider you a friend! So have a great day my friend!

Tammie I loved your personal project video. Very inspiring. I have yet to jump in on the temperature quilt but I have been wanting to do one for the year I was born. I started working on a bonus quilt as my leaders and Enders while I work on my Mercantile Sampler and the Quilted Witch. The temperature quilt would be a perfect bonus quilt. Never used triangle paper although I’ve gotten some in my Sewing Sampler boxes. But you have inspired me to try it out. Thank you. Martha

Thanks for sharing the temperature quilt. I’ve been wanting to make one and this one really speaks to me. I think I would do the high and low each day. I’ll probably use my stash fabrics, using solids, batiks and prints that read as solids. Can’t wait to see your progress. Thanks

Oh-that Meadowlark quilt is going to be beautiful! I’m a Kansas Troubles hoarder, so those colors are right up my alley. I’ve not used Triangles on a Roll (although I have them in my cart for the next time I order from FQS). I HAVE used and do love Lisa Bongean’s triangle paper. I made my niece a quilt that had 1 million triangles in it (only a slight exaggeration) and it was so much easier with the paper. On the Best Press subject-I just got some of Mary Ellen’s Best Press #2 from FQS. It seems to give the fabric just a tad bit more body that the regular Best Press, but it still isn’t “starchy”.

How much do you want to make an hour? Multiply that by your time. Plus fabric costs. That’s fair but most people don’t want to pay that much or don’t realize how much time is involved in making a quilt. Of course, with family/friends, you’d probably do it differently.

I love your idea of using the Bluebell block as a one block quilt minus the brown sections! It would be great scrappy, rainbow, etc. I have been concerned about making half square triangles 8 at a time, etc. b/c of the bias. So many wonderful quilters use that method in tutorials that I was starting to think I am being old fashioned and not progressing in my journey. I love the Kansas Troubles quilt and the fabrics your customer selected! Thanks for explaining how you are making the 9 patch blocks as leaders and enders. Great idea. I'm looking forward to seeing the customer quilts next week!

Your personal projects are coming along nicely! I use FQS's Triangles on a Roll a lot, as well as other FPP pads that they have. Love how my points look with them. Kimberly has great tips for using them on her channel. I have always loved Kansas Troubles fabrics. I'm actually hoarding some that I think I need to use in the MeadowLark's Song pattern. It's so pretty. The quilt that you are making for Tom is going to be gorgeous!

Hey, Tammie - I so enjoy seeing your work each week. Tom’s quilt is so pretty! Did you use the called for fabrics? (Except for the blacks, of course.) If not, which Kansas Troubles line did you use. Also, did you use yardage or one of the specialty bundles? Guess you have figured out that I’m gonna make this one. Hum… wonder who I could get to quilt it for me?? 😂❤

I love your channel. I love the way you Quilt I love the way you share. I love the way you show other peoples projects and tell how pleased you were and how impressed you are with your customers. There is one minor tiny little thing that bothers me and I don’t know if it bothers anyone else. I hear background noise and it is very distracting to your videos. I don’t know if the TV on in another room or if there’s people gathering and chatting or if there’s interference on your channel.

Hi Tammie, just wondering what your thoughts are about pre-washing fabric, and if not do you trust using color catchers in first washing of the quilt. I know, many different opinions on this subject. Thanks

The only time I’ve ever had a problem with bleeding is red fabrics. I will pre-wash them. Even high quality quilters cotton can bleed in red. I find color catchers really help. You can actually pin the color catcher directly to a fabric that you may be worried about.

@@fransak2723 I understand, but was told if you decide to pre-wash a fabric then you have to pre-wash all of them for the same quilt, so they shrink equally.

@@shirleyboorom8526 I’ve never had this issue. I will generally starch and press all my fabrics before I cut them. The addition of the liquid in the form of starch will shrink the fabric slightly. I don’t use any form of liquid or steam as I’m piecing.
