    Best Panama border run video yet Señor Ed. 👍 I know they others are more in-depth but this shows the drive to the border from Uvita and South, parking in Paso Canoas, exit tax windows, CR passport stamp out and in area, Panama passport in and out area as well. Everyone from Central America I truly believe has a Messi shirt. 😅 Thanks for not showing the cheese selection in Panama. 🧀😢….😂

    Next time we will have to do a cheese tease of the wide selection there(compared to Uvita)🤣😅

    I keep hearing encouraging words about them making the driving only 90, but it seems to always be in a multi step process of sorts

    I've been following your channel for a while and find your videos very helpful. Do you feel it will remain practical to keep making these border runs in the foreseeable future? My wife and I love CR and are considering the Cartago area as tourists for 5-6 years until we qualify for residency via Social Security.

    Well it is a little easier now that it is 6 months vs 3, so making the trip twice a year is not too bad.

    quick question, why don't you drive over the border ?you just can't drive a rental car...and are you saying they no longer let you stamp back in a few hours later....many people say at the nicaragua border you can stamp back in a short time later- 15-30 minutes....have you heard this..

  • @CostaRicaStory

    @CostaRicaStory

    3 ай бұрын

    Yes, you can drive your own car across the border, but it requires a bit of red tape, insurance etc. Since I am just doing a border run it is easier just to leave the car on the Costa Rica side and walk into Panama. Yes, most people I have talked to who have done border runs to Nicaragua say it is usually just a few hours and you can stamp back in without an overnight stay. It used to be that way in Panama before covid, as I understand it. I go to Panama because it is a short drive in low traffic familiar roads.

    Do you plan to get CR residency? Is it expensive? Ive heard about $3500 pensiado?

  • @CostaRicaStory

    @CostaRicaStory

    I would like to at some point. It can be that expensive depending on the attorney and how much of the process you inundate on your own. If you get copies of your birth certificate and background check apostled yourself it can save you some money. Another topic on my list of videos to get done.
