Thanks for the vid. I've driven this one twice now. I live in Nicaragua and do the run to Costa Rica every 30 days because of my vehicle. It is a super chill border on both sides. Not all the commerce like this border.

I'm not certain what I can say here LEGALLY. I have passed over every border going out of CR and Nicaragua is certainly easier - though they threatened to arrest me there. I was able to talk my way out of it (i.e., payed some money) and this was all because the correct 'paperwork' was not done correctly in my passport the last time I traveled out. Sixaola was the MOST interesting crossing and I traveled from there to many very interesting places. But, Sixaola is kind of freaky. It will be a weird experience for virtually anyone. The bridge alone in Sixaola is worth walking over. Bocas del Toro is an easy access from this point and well worth the visit. I broke my ankle there and couldn't get off of the island for about 5 weeks while it healed. (They DO have a small quaint hospital on the opposite side of the island.) Good times indeed!! Freaky - but good!

@@Chenzaloon There is a very small private airport in Bocas. I met friends there who flew into Panama there because it was so small (and relatively relaxed for passport reasons). Keep it in mind. If you are a diver, there is also reason to be there - other more remote islands close-by. Fly in - go to remote islands and then fly out.

Onward ticket is a real ticket.. there's another site, this one is maybe not a real ticket, but onward has an actual flight number.. U can check it.. it's good for 48 hours and then cancelled automatically.. so no hussle.. amazingly it was $12 year and half ago.. just showing the price rise.. 25% up.. in Costa Rica with the dollar fluctuations it's more like 35%! And it's all over the world.. same in Australia where I lived or in Israel where I am now.. Good 2 C U r back on .. hopes everything goes good with Ur coffee business.. jah bless

Wow, I never had any problem. I paid the tax I got stamped out of Costa Rica then I walked across the border and got my passport stamped. I had to wait three hours so I went to the bar around the corner and then I walked over and got stamped again for leaving Panama, and then I had to get stamped into Costa Rica again kind of a pain in the ass but I didn’t need a bus ticket. I just hopped on a taxi. They took me to the bus station where the pink buses are and went back to Dominical.
