Great information, thank you. How do I know what kind of paint I should use if I want white cabinet?

Hello enjoyed your video. Quick question, on pricing, you mentioned the cost per opening. Example, drawer front, door front etc. So if a cabinet has two doors or three drawers, are these considered one hole or two, three for pricing? Thank you for your video.

Every door and drawer is 1 opening. Imagine every door as a cubed slot in the cabinet space. This is what we count as an opening. Length and width of each door/drawer and the depth of the cabinet is 1 cube/opening. Large doors sometimes count as 2 doors because the cubed space is alot bigger than others. Same goes for really small doors they sometimes count as 1 door although not as common as the large door scenario.

I got the same issue trying to understand the concept.... Perhaps one day you would have the time and chance to make a video regarding this matter......I'm new on pricing jobs, I know how to do it, but the cost of materials and prep work it's what I'm learning ..... I work for a company as a finisher but I want to star working on the side, already did a few jobs but I hardly believe I was not getting paid fairly therefore I'm here trying to get as much info to help me out, thanks and continue doing such a great job 👍🏽

What's an opening like per door?

Yes this guy is also very very low on price, I charge $105.00 per door or drawer not for opening, imagine a opening with 2 doors, he is only charging 60 per door that's crazy cheap

did you say how much that kitchen cost?what type of material ? conversion varnish, precat, latex

We dont use precat for painting cabinets. We dont use latex unless its a dark color in which case we explain the pros and cons to our customers. We dont do varnishing. This video was about paint only.

He said latex for dark colors, I can't imagine painting with latex paint, I only use Renner urethane

I way underbid a cabinet repaint. Never going to do that again that killed me physically and monetary

...materials x 7+ and dial in repoduction rates to make profitability...industry average is around $55/hr...

Prime first, then caulk.

caulking can crack if you do that. we caulk first then prime so if anything cracks we recaulk before finish.

Use a vinyl primer and 1k or 2k top coat. I used to use precat but it’s kinda dangerous so now we use renner. We charge $200/door here in NC

@@bailey2624 Even in upscale neighborhoods, here in Chicago which is a huge town, people would think complaint 80-95 range per door, I cant see how someone would pay 200 per door, that's insane.

That’s a 5.5-7k kitchen 3k if you want to learn and do some charity work A crew of 3 guys should be done with that kitchen in 2 days, hang your doors so you can spray both sides at once!!! Look into the psdr line
