I have been living in Dxb for the last 3 months. Can definitely vouch for simple working-class professionals that the prices covered in the video are true. As a couple, ensure that you both are making at least 20k/month if you wanna live, enjoy and save for your furture.

I am staying in Dubai since last 30 years. For sure gas cylinder is not 60 AED it’s now 140 AED and people commuting from Sharjah to Dubai needs to pay Salik etc and fuel cost goes up in that case. Car maintenance is expensive. Insurance is must which is to be calculated.

Its certainly not possible to maintain family or even husband wife at AED 4000. Good school start around AED 2000 per month, but British school, where most Indian expacts want their kids to go to, it starts at AED 4500 per month, more like 5-6000 per mont. Going out costs more than AED 100. If you take 1 movie, popcorn and fast food at food court, it's more like AED 100 per person. An average restaurant like Chilli's or equivalent would cost AED 80-120 per person, a better restaurant can go AED 150 to AED 350 per person. High end restaurants go higher than that. These are prices without alcohol. Housing can be expensive and good middle class area for a 2 BHK is 70k - 120k a year. The prices in the video are on the lower side. It's certainly possible to live in that cost benchmark, however, it would lower side of middle class living.

Quite accurate figures. Recently returned after living in Dubai for three years as a family of 3. Due to Covid, we benefited from forced savings.......Housing in Al Nada and Al Qusais area is also quiet decent and affordable. You could add one more common expense-drinking water. We paid around AED 150 p/m for drinking water. Overall, quite a pleasant and informative video.

Every job opening has 100s of applications in minutes on LinkedIn and I doubt they are preferring expats over people already residing there. I'm connecting with people in Dubai daily but no luck. For a couple - basis living expenses will be 12k aed , 1bhk, 5seater regular car,i kid But by living in that heat and isolation you need getaways more often than in India and those mostly cost 6-12k per 3 day trip and you would at least want to save 10k aed per month so combined salary of aed25k is needed

I m in Dubai now . Really it's very expensive 😔 my brother had a flat in which a rent he had to pay 55000 DHR a yearly for 2000 sqft. Everything is expensive 😔 and when ever we go out we have to pay car parking and salik 4 dhr. In some route. But it is very highly advanced and develop only for rich people can enjoy life . Lot of freedom and discipline we get to see. It is heaven in the place on earth. Here local Arabic people r very helpful and very nice. Many people from the world to see with different language and ascent. No tention no headache. But people can't save money.

U BOTH R SO SWEET
If u live in Sharjah get a studio .. it costs you 1200 a month water elec bill 600 max grocery 900 max pick n drop facility from ofc in dubai to sharja 200 per month, 200 wifi . So total 3100 in budget basic living exp for couple . Now take extra 900 for outings once or twice in a month . It's 4000 total in which a couple can liv in sharja which is close to dubai. So even you r earning 10k you can still save 6k a month which is almost 1.2 lacs ind rupees . Rest depends on you how much you want to spend there is no end to that .

Its very difficult to get a 1bhk in 3000 in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman are quite far and to do up down every day is very tiring... In Dubai the only major expense is Rent so I feel Minimum 12k is required for a couple not 8k....

Annual Aircon Chiller Bill will be AED 7-9000 for 1 bed and AED 12,000 - 15,000 for 2 bed depending on use. Be ready for School Fees per kid. Very wide range going up to British, IB and American schools charging 75,000 AED and even 110,000 AED per kid per annum. Car is expensive to maintain. Try to stay near METRO and use a taxi. In winter consider renting cars to entertain family on weekends. Hopefully good medical insurance will be provided by employer.

Please let me know i have recently heard that most of employers take passports from female job seekers as they know they have no family and came for job hunt , and later on after keeping passport they use them in a wrong way or sell them ,is it true ? Please guide me i am planning to come in November. What about passport policies should we give passport to employers or not ?

Thanks for this informative video. Regarding the rent, I'm a bit confused. If we come there for work, do we have to buy the apartment first ? And then the rent is separately paid ? And can the rent be paid monthly or is it compulsory it has to be paid yearly ? And in a previous video y'all mentioned we have to give a security deposit incase anything get damaged in the house ? So what would the total be ? And what about the drinking water. In Saudi we had to go to a particular place to collect drinking water. In Dubai is the tap water drinkable or do we have to get drinking water from any particular place ?

@@Moiselle555 One bhk will cost minimum 2.5-3k a month.
This is the minimum expenses. Costs like Yearly airfare to India for a family of three not covered which comes to to around min 500 AED per month. Purchases to take to india comes around 2000-3000 per year depending on person. Then medical related expenses, everything is not free in insurance, grocery bill calculated is minimum, it will come around 1500dhs, then you will need to buy dress, footwear etc for you and your family which comes around 200-300 per month calculated yearly average, mobile calculated is for ine person and dewa bill can go higher as water cost is on higher side. Overall you should consider 50% more than what is mentioned here in this video.
