Me:being sad thinking Im the only person that watches “make it yourself” video for absolutely no reason and just like it Also me:reads comment My brain:explodes from joy
I just looked at the sizes for the pattern. Except for the height I have the exact same proportions. I’m a good 20cm shorter... no wonder people think I’m tall on videos
You can use scissors, but be sure ONLY to cut the batting. Not the fur.
Yess I finally have an excuse to buy a screw driver 😭😹😹

Why?
Hey there, fursuit maker here! I would highly advise against using super glue on foam board, or if you do please do a spot test first. I'm not sure what type of glue that you used, but when I tried using basic super glue on foam board, it ate away the board and produced chemical fumes. Just please be sure to be careful and research the materials you use and how they react to certain adhesives!
@KinpatsuCosplay

Hi! Yes Superglue will melt the board just slightlyvand when the pieces are glued together it will pretty much fuse them! This is part of why this is the kind of glue recommended to work with PVC board for cosplay and prop making. I've been using it for many years now, and I can't say I've ever had it eat away at the board like you've said. :) But I do agree that PVC board is a very toxic material to work with in some situations, it can produce dangerous fumes when it's heated with a heatgun to be shaped. We always tell people to use a respirator when they do this of to do it outside.

@@Molly-yn2pq hi i made a skunk tail using this pattern last night! to get the white stripe I made pattern B white and cut the pattern into 3 pieces. I did not cut A and C into pieces and just used one singular cut.
I’m partially putting this here for my own sake, but it would benefit me and others if you could put these time stamps in the description: 0:00 intro 0:40 foam base 1:54 cover 4:32 fur painting 5:21 tail harness 7:42 how to wear 8:00 finished product 8:14 outro
My 11 year old has been so into anime and cosplay for the last couple years. She has developed in detail a couple characters personalilties, backstories, everything. Shes been drawing for years and is quite good now. For Halloween she wanted to cosplay her main character. I love this video because it's super easy to follow. While his execution will not be of this caliber for Halloween in time we will be doing this version sometime down the road. Now to watch how to make ears. Thanks so much for the wonderful content. You are so very talented! Going to try and find your book since this was 2 years ago!

A quick suggestion is to swap the hot glue for 2 part epoxy when attaching your belt to the PVC board. It's a lot sturdier and if you live in a hot climate the hot glue may fail. Epoxy adheres to plastic a lot better than hot glue as well. Just a thought for those who find that hot glue doesn't do the job :)

Yeah I agree ☝🏼 But they didn’t actually kill the tail, did they? 😂
After assembling the Eva, I opted to directly hot glue the fur to the Eva foam instead of sewing it as a cover. It’s coming along perfectly!

Omg i love this💜
Thanks!
I can’t wait to make a squirrel tail with this for Halloween!
Nailed it 👌🏼
I'm planning on making a squirrel fursuit. This video is the only relevant one on youtube, so it's a life saver for me.
ty soo much! this can help alot with a fursuit im making
Very nice
You would not believe HOW many times I have tried, and failed to make a working Squirrel tail for my Super Shiny Squirrel costume (AKA the ultimate distraction. I started with the idea of using an inflatable surfboard inside it, but it would stretch and wind up bending and making a upside down L shape. I tried using braided wires to make a framework inside, but again- no luck. I am going to watch this and take notes now, thank you SO much for making it!
Ugggh the fact that you gave so much detail is so amazing! Even down to the size of fabric. A lot of people would just say “any that fits your pattern” which is clear, but if they sell them in standard sizes which will allow me to get the most for my money? 35mm. I won’t be making this (at least I don’t think) I’m just fascinated by your content!
Cosplay is like wayyyy more detailed that’s fursuits now omg
Amazing video girl :) I'm actually curious if you would ever consider making a video on how you made your sanding and painting booths? I saw a bit of it in this video and am curious as to how you manage dust and paint from going everywhere :3
Yesss, I need thisss
Beautiful! :>

I NEED TO MAKE THIS FOR MY ROXY COSPLAY!
Thank you for this! I'm planning to be a character that has a tail for halloween.

you make it look soooo easy ! 😂

COOL!
I love u, thank you so much
i dont cosplay but this is satisfying to watch
Damn I didn’t know we were using metal and pvc! The technique I know for this is an upholstery foam tail or heavily stuffed tail with one or two strings of clear fishing wire attached to a fabric harness pulling it up lol, it moves nearly the same way and the string is strong and almost invisible!
I want one too
Teached me more than school did
That's Hard But... Beauty
I am SO EXCITED for this! I've wanted to cosplay Squirrel Girl for years, but was stumped on the tail! I have some pretty faux fur that I stashed that's really thick and long, something like 3-4 inches (~10cm) would that be too heavy, or could I made it work? I worry it could end up drooping, but maybe I just should bend the aluminum less to compensate?
Imma use this to help make a Squirrel girl cosplay ^^
Genius.
This tail is perfect for nana mobile legends cosplay ty for the tutorial
This cosplay is super helpful for future projects. I do have a question though. How do you go about making your foam base patterns? I’d like to do this for Michiru’s tail from BNA but the patterning stumps me
Can you do a hybrid nine tailed fox tiger as my fursona ...love the video keep rocking on🤘💙👍
This seems easy
Did I start playing LOL because of this cosplay Yes do I wanna cosplay a LOL character at a con now YES!!!!!
Brutal *-*
