SPOILERS: Keliser believes that in order to protect and save people he needs to amass power. He tells Spook he wants his physical connection to the world restored. Saized all but confirmed that he could bring people back from the cognitive realm (Vin and Ellend declined the offer) via his investiture -- so Kelsier wants to collect investiture. I think his research into the unmade is motivated by learning how investiture can be used to infuse a cognitive entity and bridge the two realms, as the unmade seem can operate within both the physical and cognitive realms. Not to mention their ability to have a direct connection with Shards (like their connection to Odium). I find it hard to believe too that he'll be satisfied with just regaining access to the physical realm after tasting the power of holding a shard. So I think his endgame is to study the different worlds in the cosmere, their shards, and plan an attack on a shard. It's a Game of Thrones style competition for the shards, and after learning that one can amass multiple shards (like Saized did) he'll likely not stop at one either.

I have a feeling he'll try and collect/ fix a splintered Shard so he wouldn't have to fight anyone for it. My best guess is that he'll go after the Splinters of Ambition since that would probably fit him best outside of Odium and Ruin.

My best guess is that Kelsier is trying to get a body back like how the Fused and Heralds do.

I really need to know why Gavilar thought Kelsier sent Szeth to kill him... Crazy to think that Brandon essentially put Kelsier into the way of kings.

I think we'll learn a lot in the next book. The prologue is from Gavilar's POV

I kind of like the idea that the Ghostbloods is just Thaidakar's research team, essentially. He's trying to get used to the Cosmere and study all of its aspects so he can be fully informed about what he's dealing with. Thaidakar isn't the type of person to arrive in a new situation and be satisfied being largely clueless. He wants to learn about the base nature of Investiture, and takes a keen interest in Shards and their effects on different worlds, and if those effects can be translated to other worlds. Presumably, he's also still looking for a way to return to a physical form, if only as a side goal. There's so much we don't know about the Ghostbloods, but that's my working theory.

This needs to get updated after events of The Lost Metal.

I know that the Ghostbloods are a really high profile organization but their actions are kinda funny to me. Like they try and assassinate Jasnah twice and still manage to fail both attempts bc she’s just that bad a bitch. And then they end up recruiting her ward despite everything and she eventually leaves them too. All this for a plan to make some cash and maybe get Kelsier out of his situation. Also Thaidakar in-universe probably is a meaningful name but in meta terms it’s just two places ?? (Thailand and Dakar, Senegal)

It does seem kinda odd when you analyse it objectively XD

I've been trying on the idea that Sanderson thought that Hoid's reference to the "Lord of Scars" was enough to confirm his identity- it seemingly wasn't, so he outright confirmed it. Where I initially saw it as an unnecessary spoiler, that could've make a bigger impact down the road, he didn't see it as a "spoiler," as he intended that line to be the reveal. Hope hope.

If the humans really did invade Roshar and took it from the parshendi, where did they come from? How did they destroy their previous world with surges? Just what exactly happened?

Character studies are coming fairly soon. Basically I'm just finishing up Mistborn Era 2 after which I will start a re-read of the whole Cosmere. Will be doing character studies as I read through it. I just don't feel comfortable doing character studies if I haven't recently read the book.

RavenRavens understandable. While book 1 was a bit easy to predict I enjoyed the tonal change of era2.

I have come to the conclusion on why they hunt the unmade. It has to deal with mixed divinity

How in the freaking name of Adonalsium do you draw a connection between the Ghostbloods and Kelsier? ^^ I haven't read Secret History yet, so I don't quite understand how Kelsier is even alive, to be honest.

Ah yes, Secret History is kind of crucial for this Cosmere reveal. But trust me, Thaidakar is 100% Kelsier

Spoiler warning for ROW: Sanderson had said that we'll figure out what Vasher was doing during the sacking of Urithiru during ROW, since people had been curious why he hadn't helped. My thoughts on this matter is that since Mraize was in Urithiru (And we all now know who he's working for wink wink) and knowing Thaidakar's goals of getting off the planet he's currently stuck on due to being too invested such as the Heralds. So in my head since heralds are too invested to get off the world their bound to so is Vasher, however Vasher has clearly figured out a way to leave his planet of origin and investment. So I belive Thaidakar will want to have a conversation with him. That is my thoughts on some of the content for SL 5.
