Started watching the LTT video and prompty stopped it and checked here first. When it comes to PC monitor reviews, you guys are second to none.

Yep. I wouldn't trust a single review put out by LTT. Their non-review videos are rife with paid product promotions, getting free stuff worth of thousands of dollars for their homes and office and general clumsiness showing how unprofessional and clueless they are. Some of their videos are fun to watch, but that's all I'd read into LTT's videos. Entertainment. And their videos can't be watched without adblock and sponsorblock since they are full of ads.

@@laststep56 most people that will buy this monitor is probably into gaming so yeah, it's safe to assume that these people know what resolution and hz/fps are already. Calling it Xeneon 1 won't tell us right on the spot what the very main specs. Though, I hate the price and that hideous stand tf. Well one thing's for sure is to never buy any gen 1 products (coming from experience).

@@laststep56 Joe Six Pack will just buy another Asus/Acer/HP Panel with the features, looks, or brands they like then call it a day. Mainly a PC head, Gamers, or Reviewers are going to look at this panel more than likely. What is Xeneon 1 going to do for anyone vs this Panel that has a simple model number that spells out the specs. 32QHD165 vs 100027813 vs 32GK650F. Only one tells me all I need to know vs the string of numbers the others are. You have to google them to find out more . Its like a BMW model scheme vs Volvo.

This was a great video, i like how you actually benchmark the monitor instead of just reading the specs, playing some games and call it a day lol

Yea HU has a very rigorous testing model which I appreciate. It's not just subjective they quantify it so you can actually make a decision around it

Sure, but with this monitor you get super wide color gamut of you want to edit stuff, 400 nit-40nit brightness and one of the best contrast ratios for ips. It's not a scam. It's for people who care about that stuff.

The fact that ever more of the gaming oriented brands are jumping into gaming monitors, should by this point tell you something about how much money there is in this market and just how high the margins might be on these products. Because you do not just diversify into new categories if the upfront investment for entering such a market, can't be earned back with a high margin product.

Wouldn't be the first time either after the "gaming chairs" or the massive price hikes for video cards over the last five years that go hand in hand with ever larger revenues and profit margins.

Not great ones. 800 is on par with the other high end IPS models on the market with the same specs(32",1440, 165hz, 10bits colours).

I totally agree. My 4k TV only cost me £400 (about $541.80 (2021)) and that has HDR and 120hz refresh (at 1080p, but, to be honest there is no difference between 120hz and 60hz with v-sync on, I still get buttery smooth performance, and 4k is beautiful on most games.)

@ The HDR and 120Hz are probably fake, because TVs have incredibly dishonest marketing, but at a minimum, they show that gaming monitors really shouldn’t be this expensive.

The monitor is currently $450 at the time of this writing so I'm definitely going to pick one of these up.

The front of that stand really looks like a giant bottle opener!

When I saw the monitor release on Corsair’s stream announcement… I knew HUB Tim would be my go-to monitor review for it. Great work Tim 👍

This is very overpriced and underwhelming. If they're going to charge $800 for a 1440p monitor, it has to a no compromise contender for the best 1440p display. it seems downright absurd to cut out things like 2.1 ports for reduced manufacturing cost.

One of the reasons for the increased price is the ability to control it through software and being able to control it through Corsair Keyboards and the their touchscreen iCUE Nexus as well as Elgato Streamdeck's Personally if Corsair releases a newer model with higher than 165Hz refresh rate AND with the gamer features such as onboard refresh rate counters and crosshairs then I would definitely consider it since I have a lot of Corsair products in my setup such as RGB fans, CPU cooler and a iCUE Commander pro and whatnot as well as a Corsair K100 keyboard and M65 RGB Pro mouse only due to the iCUE integration ( the first thing out of these that I ever got was the M65 mouse back in like 2015 and been using it for years and am even considering the new wireless version that released around a week ago since I like how the M65 feels in my hand)

Also when you can buy the LG C1 48" OLED for around 1000-1300 USD also puts things in perspective. I'm still waiting for reasonably priced OLED monitors in the 1440p-4K range with 27-32 inch size.

People keep s saying this, but I'm on a M32Q right now and I have zero complaints, even for reading documents in small print. I spent ~half that though. Any complaints I might have aren't related to pixel density but my inability to fiddle with color calibration with certain settings turned on.

The LG 32GK650-F is fine, it's a 32" 1440p 144Hz VA panel with no HDR and generic Freesync support. 1440p at 32 inches is fine unless you like gluing your face to the screen to read. Though I will give you credit for the rest, the LG monitor launched at $350 USD while Corsair's offering is... kind of absurd. I'd go with my current monitor, the Pixio PX277 Prime, over Corsair's offering. It offers (useless) HDR and Freesync Premium, 165 Hz at 1440p, and even works with current-gen consoles at 1440p 120 Hz with Freesync/VRR enabled. And it was less than $300 USD on sale. So not sure what Corsair is doing when their product belongs in the budget category but pricing it at the enthusiast level.

1440p on a 32 inch is actually super nice. I miss mine, but I no longer need better than 1080p so away it went! Traded it in for a nice boxed Game Boy. I wouldn't go over 32'' certainly but it's at the bleeding edge of acceptable and not acceptable, and if you just want a slightly bigger display, that's the way to go. That said, the better Dell version is 165hz and a full $450 cheaper, so. This is still awful.

@@KITOMERO While I don't disagree that the value is bad, your comment kind of contradicts itself. On the one hand you mention it has the same pixel density, on the other you recommend people just sit slightly closer to their 24" 1080p monitor, at which point having the same pixel density turns into kind of a downside for the 1080p display. While I'm currently using a 24" 1080p monitor, I could certainly see the benefit of all the extra stuff I could fit onto a 32" 1440p monitor (All those windows in the unity game engine...), it's just that for gaming a higher resolution screen doesn't make much sense for me when all I have is a laptop RTX 2060 powering it.

@@KITOMERO I own a 4k 27 inch monitor, a 1440p 27 inch monitor, and a 32 inch 1440p monitor. And honestly the pixel density difference is not as noticeable as you would think. The only time I honestly notice the difference is if I playing a game with low res textures, like a old game or a pixel game. 1440p textures, games designed with high res textures, you cannot tell the difference between the three monitors I just mentioned. Also, if you factor in viewing distance and sit further away it's even more impossible. With that said I would never buy a 4k monitor less than 32 inches again, complete waste of pixel density, and totally pointless. Also, 4k gaming is stupid compared to 1440p. The frame rate difference is massive.

If my spending approaches the the $1k mark, I would be better getting a 48" LG OLED.

OLED's are perfectly fine if you DON"T use them like Linus does. They were never meant to be used in that use case and Linus should have known better. He basically did everything wrong that every serious OLED user already knows not to do. You don't us them as workstation monitors, you don't use them to display static content for 8 hours a day - he was an idiot for even thinking he could get away with it. They are excellent for varied content like games and tv shows/movies, but certainly not as a full time desktop monitor. I will never use mine as a dedicated monitor as that is just asking for burn in, but rather as a secondary monitor along with my standard IPS choices.

Love these reviews. Based on your review I've bought 27" ViewSonic VX2758-2KP-MHD Gaming. It was on sale and I believe that for such price, I couldn't have bought much better LCD even though it's obviously not perfect. Still, compared to this expensive panel, it was an easier choice to make given the price/performance.

I can't lie I'm genuinely excited to see Corsair move into this space. More competition is always welcome and Corsair seems to have been getting a lot right with their newer releases. I love the idea of being able to integrate more Corsair into my set up and have it all work in tandem. That being said it's their first edition and without the funds to just try stuff out, may just have to wait for their next release to see what they've accomplished. Would also really like to see them move into laptops as long as it doesn't spread them too thin and sacrifice the strides they've made with other products

The razer monitor has 144hz, is only 27 inch, doesn’t have quantum dot tech and is worse at everything else so he’s just nicer because the monitor isn’t as bad as the razer one and you even need to buy a overpriced vesa mount adapter from razer while the Corsair monitor has normal 100x100mm holes

I got this monitor along with an OriginPC Millennium 5000X RTS V2, with an insane build. I’d say the $4642 was worth it.

Interesting how much this Corsair monitor mimics Dell's offerings down to the back plastic with lack of RGB. Very peculiar how close the 1440p 120/144/165hz responses are to the similar sized Dell's also (usually best at 144/fast best results)** don't have the calibration tools HU does. Overall makes me suspect they have same subcontractor supplying both. Thanks for the great reviews Tim!

Are you guys gonna review the upcoming AOC AG274QXM later this year? Would be really interesting to see how it compares to the composition when it comes to responds time and HDR performance.

For less than half the price on sale ( Which it is on every other week), my S2721DGF holds up phenomenally well. The biggest thing is I don't have to deal with iCUE.

In these reviews, it would be interesting to see which osd features are controllable by ddc/ci, to make profiles for games. There's no way i would change settings manually for each gaming session.

Hey Tim. Did you see that there was a firmware update for the MIS Optix MAG274QRF-QD? Would you do a review of the now included sRGB, Adobe RGB mode? I still feel it is oversaturated compared to my hardware calibrated Eizo.

US Black Friday 2022, on sale 349.99 so I ordered 1 to test out.

Gaming-wise I would have liked to have seen the NVIDIA Reflex Latency Analyzer on this monitor. Well said HU, not a monitor for pro-level color correction and grading.

They lost me at $800. Even if it was a fantastic monitor for its specs that price is a bit of a hard pill to swallow.

I have this monitor and going from a 24" to a 32" was a bit overwhelming. So I ordered a Samsung Odyssey G7 27" (which is where I actually wanted to be size-wise) to compare it while I was still in my return window for the Corsair. The G7 was dark. Weirdly dark. Even with brightness at 100 it just felt dim. Colors were muted as well. I enabled HDR, disabled it, changed every setting to try to stop it from looking washed out. In the end, I hooked the Corsair back up and new in an instant that this would be my monitor. It just has a vibrant display that makes colors pop in a good way.

Look at that coat hanger of a front foot!

Corsair seems to get a lot of things right for a first product but the pricing is definitely steep for what it offers. I hope Corsair would release more budget options in the future.

Hey are you guys going to do the new 48 Inch aorus monitors?? The f048u and the fv43u I think are the names. It’s a mihi led 48 inch and a oled 48 inch.

I love/hate my Corsair keyboard because iCue is both amazingly flexible and unbearaly cumbersome and buggy. The worst bug is when the keyboard stops sending inputs and the only way to fix it is to reboot my machine (because my Logitech mouse still works).

I have that monitor also on a ergotron monitor arm that I just pull closer to my face. This monitor was light enough and had VESA 100x mounting. I'm going to wait until we start seeing true HDR in these 4k 144hz (+) monitors and I definitely want some better local dimming.

at least 32qhd165 is easy to remember and understand, because it makes sense. It reminds me on how they name tv panels, like sony

question is i have a choice of either the new corsair or the LG32gp850 which do i go for considering the LG is about 100 Pounds cheaper? (more for watching you tube and Netflix)

And to think I just picked up an Acer 1440p 32” 165 hz for $385 at Microcenter this morning.

4:21 technically speaking all monitors have a very sophisticated RGB lighting system.

As a first monitor corsair did a very good job but at 800$ they have priced this monitor at higher end but Few more features could justify this price. love that they have designed this monitor very simple and solid .. As reputable gaming brand hope they will bring some more exiting and feature rich monitors to the marcket ....👍

wouldn't be surprised if that was the case. From a business perspective, a reviewer is going to showcase its potential to the entire world so it would make sense to give them a golden sample. But then if that is the case, and it is benched against other companies' golden samples so it shouldn't really matter.

Only RGB on a monitor should be where the buttons/toggle are in dim mode and on the back for ambient lighting.

I wonder which one of the big panel makers actually made the monitor, cuz you know Corsair likely didn't. They contracted someone else to build it to their specs and slapped their logo on it, like most monitor companies out there.

It's kind of tiring to see performance drop a lot when at the 60 fps range, at this price range I would have thought more care for other speeds would be taken but that seems to be a dropped ideal across many brands.

Why does the stand look like it's meant to double as a keyboard mount?

Does anyone have any tips on monitor color calibration that doesn't involve buying a device for like $300 that I'll only ever need to use like 3 times over 10 years? I've always wanted to calibrate my displays, I just can't justify the price of buying a dedicated piece of hardware that's just as expensive as any other single component in my computer.

Just buy them both from Asus and sync the rgb with icue and you have your „Corsair“ gpu and mainboard

The bottom bit is inspired on a coat hanger 😂 ...after this review (and probably others) I think this product might fall on the same path as their CPU air cooler A500 where it got massively discounted...in my opinion I think they should have went for a 27inch display instead of 32 and that should bring the price down which it would make more sense and it would be a more successful first attempt on the monitor market...
