I'll never forget the time he had Ricky Gervais on his show and the interview, due to Colbert's inability to get why people may be or become anti-theists, turning into a full-blown theological debate about why god has to be real.. 🤢 So I'm more in favour of John Oliver or Jon Steward.. 😂

I think the whole charm is that he (is not a Jackal/ does not bite back). It is the quiet, sincerity that he responds to (corrections/complaints) that makes if funny. If Seth starts getting more and more snappy, that will just make this annoying.

On a serious note, I am so proud of these Strike Force Five guys combining their skills and demonstrating some terrific harmony at this difficult time in the US culture. They each have very different comedy styles and their shows reflect that but they can also produce something wonderful when they collaborate; it's win-win. This is very democratic. They could be feuding or belittling each other as if their shows are in competition but they aren't. It's one big, wonderful interaction. They are so civil and I wish certain news channels, politicians and many citizens would be this mature. Infighting is just destructive and debilitating. It's so much better when these boys point that energy towards the lunacy going on right now, rather than at each other. This is how we should all behave in a civil society and I commend them for it. Well done, gentlemen!! It is a comfort to know you are here for us as we approach November. 💖💖👍🏼🤟🏽💖💖💖

That was my favorite thing ever, because it was my comment he was talking about. I said nice things bout Seth being on Colbert's show, and how cool it was that Colbert was into Corrections. Then, jokingly, i said that Colbert seemed nice, and asked how we could be his Jackals. I didn't think anyone would read it, let alone Seth.

Correction (that I'm surprised no other dino nerds have already caught)! While Nick Cage did indeed buy and then return a _Tyrannosaurus_ skull, it was not _Tyrannosaurus rex._ T. rex is the American species; the Mongolian species is T. baatar. It's like a jaguar _(Panthera onca)_ vs. a leopard _(P. pardus)._ It's fine to call either one a "panther," but you wouldn't call a jaguar a leopard or vice versa.

He even seems to feel like he is letting us down if he doesn't have a Mac Tonight fight or special effects on every ep. The witch didn't say Corrections has to be good, but Seth wants it to be. Clearly, it is his true love, and all the other parts of Late Night are just means to an end.

All episodes of Corrections are made of pure gold. It is a known fact.

As a kid I learned an easy way to remember when to use "whom": If the answer would be him, her, or them-use whom. If the answer would be be he, she, or you, or even 'yous guys'-use who. The More You Know 🌈

Long time fan, first time commenting. I just want to say thank you for this segment! I love the fact that someone as famous as you takes the time to listen to the audience, and address their issues. If only the same idea can be applied to politics, imagine how different our world would be lol

If I remember correctly the reasons vampires couldn't see their reflection is because mirrors were traditionally silver backed. Silver was considered a holy metal. But today most mirrors are aluminum backed so a vampire today should be able to see their reflection.

Silver wasn't considered a "holy metal." The idea of it being a holy metal is more of a modern influence of Hollywood. Furthermore, mirrors were made through quicksilvering, which had nothing to do with silver. Mercury would be applied to glass and, as such, make it seem silver. So it being responsible makes little factual sense. Also, it is incredibly rare for silver to be utilized in traditional European folklore as a weapon or holy motif whatsoever. Silver in the early 1900s, however, was a rare, albeit highly accessible metal that modern entertainment could use as gotcha. The most probable origins for a vampire not appearing in a mirror are still tied to religion. The walking dead were believed to have no soul. As such, a mirror would reveal their true soul. It was believed that a soul was required to reflect upon quicksilver. Further, a soul is required for one to have a shadow, and as such, another folk aspect of vampirism is brought forth. A vampire will not cast a shadow in other reflected light as they do not have a soul. Finally, one interesting note. The tradition of groundhogs day comes from this no soul belief as well. The groundhog makes a deal with nature to survive during the bitter winter months. If its spirit is left behind during the warm months, it will have fulfilled the bargain and be allowed to roam during the warm months. If, however, it has yet to fulfill the bargain, it will depart the burrow still with a soul, and therefore a shadow. 6 more weeks of leaving the spirit in the burrow. All this being said, that's how vampires are related to Punxsutawney Phil. Silver is not Holy. Mirrors were not made with silver. And yet, still no one can really detect Larry David in Seth's vampire impression.

Hey, if you just say that Stephen Colbert seems nice, Mr. Peace, Love, and Understanding here will kick you out of Corrections and condemn you to eternal darkness! Well, there might be more to the story, but the bottom line is that Seth can out-snark even the snarkiest Jackal. So, why do we put up with it? Well, he is pretty funny. And deep down, he is probably a decent enough guy, for a billionaire. And I just really like Corrections. 🙃

Standing still for a shark is only if it's a grizzly. If it's a black shark, make yourself look big and aggressive.

When used for collections of different things, it would be minimums. A single type would have a minima within its collection. Like how fish is plural, unless you're talking about multiple species, then you say fishes.

You think Jackals would be in the audience of a Colbert show? Obviously they would never have gotten in, because the form to request ticket has a grammatical error on it, and anybody who sends it back corrected is immediately disqualified.

I don't know what juvenile audience members you have but a Jäger bomb is definitely a shot of Jägermeister dropped into a pint of beer. It's a boilermaker but using Jäger instead of whiskey or bourbon.

seconded, I got my first jäger bomb on my 21st in 2005 of a shot of Jäger in PBR- I don't know if the beer matters, but I've only seen whatever cheap American lagers used. A shot of anything in a whole red bull would make me vomit and have heart palpitations.
