I had two baby teeth molars I don’t know how they fit in my mouth because they were huge. They took turns being loose for a year but would not come out. Finally, one came out with roots in shards, but the other had to be pulled by the dentist, and from top to the bottom of the root it was an inch long. I kept it for a long time, just to look at and be grateful it wasn’t in my jaw.

A correction to a correction: Bart Simpson did actually say "Cowabunga", multiple times in fact. There's a video here on KZread titled "Every time Bart Simpson says "Cowabunga!"" that proves this. It was not his catch phrase, but he did say the word. In a bit of a twist, Bart says at one point "I've never said Cowabunga in my life", forgetting that he did say it twice before. Kinda like how Trump forgets that he said a thing before saying that he never said a thing.

When I saw the bit, I thought maybe Seth had gone back for a refresher course during his 2-week hiatus to hone his skills and expand his repertoire. Not only was the voice perfect, with all the classic Larry David delivery, Seth's body language, timing and facial expressions were spot on. IMHO, the piece de resistance was the content. Larry would nitpick about the word "suck" and insist on another word. Kudos for whoever wrote it (though I suspect that Seth wrote it himself). 👌

Of course, celebrity baby teeth is out of your hands. They are on the desk, where you spilled them.

Corrections is easy my favorite part of the week. Absolute gold.

Medical coding jackal here: Ozempic did start out as a Diabetes drug, but it has been approved for use as a weight loss drug for a couple of years now. To the point where doctors and nurses are told to not assume a person is diabetic if the only "diabetes medication" they're on is Ozempic.

I am Legislative side so I don’t know the medical jargon as well. But, ongoing trials are following up on preliminary data that Ozempic can reduce nearly any overconsumption disorder that involves the individual never feeling they have enough of X to be satiated. Food, alcohol, some or most narcotics, even things like rage addiction are being looked at. In short, if it is something you ingest, or a behavior that causes release of a significant amount of neurochemistry, and the addiction behavior stems from endlessly seeking more / never seeming satiated, Ozempic might directly interact with the satiation pathway and genuinely reduce the addiction.

don't know if anyone's brought this up, but you actually CAN tattoo on the eyeballs. More specifically the Sclera which is the white part outside of the iris. The ink spreads to cover it with whatever color you choose and you can find pics of it online related but if you're interested in getting one - don't. It has a high risk of getting you blind and its a very delicate procedure 😭

I just looked it up, it was from Mongolia and it was Tyrannosaurus bataar or Tarbosaurus bataar. Why would Mongolia have rights to a North American dig site? There might be Mongolian paleontologists working here but they wouldn't have ownership of fossils from America.

I started watching corrections randomly, then went back to episode 1 and fell in love with the show. But it’s different watching them “live,” knowing he’s responding to the previous week’s comments. For jackals who get their comments read on air, do you feel like Seth is looking through the screen and staring right into your soul? Like he can see you sitting there watching him? Like the veil between this world and TV world is, in fact, permeable?

Yes, at first I thought it felt like that because it was the abject fear brought on by Covid. Then I thought it was due to the stress of the lockdowns and years of the pandemic. Now I know it’s the gummies I took. So yeah.

Nicolas Cage actually had a Tarboaurus bataar skull. It is very closely related to Tyrannosaurus but the former is more gracile and limited to Mongolia. Tyrannosaurus is a North American genus.

Bart's famous catchphrase is "eat my shorts". At least during the 90's. I was so confused at that cowabunga joke. 😂 Edit: I just watched an interview with Nancy Cartwright and she literally says that "ay, caramba" and "cowabunga" are also Bart's catchphrases! So that was not a mistake after all, Seth! I don't remember Bart ever saying that, only the TMNT. But I fully trust Nancy! Bart is her baby too!

@@razzledazzyl While the teeth are the most repellent, Seth is just not putting any energy into telling the story. He needs to do little impressions of each celebrity when their name is mentioned, and be more enthusiastic when opening the book. It's as if he is thinks the whole bit is a bad idea or something. That said, I like the Glitterati one. I would watch it during Corrections hiatus weeks (so, all the time).

Having been convicted of many felonies, I am quite sure that "convicted felon" does now apply to him. Can someone explain why you wouldn't yet be a "convicted felon" after your conviction on felony charges? What does sentencing have to do with the charges or conviction?

Yeah Im pretty sure this is an incorrect correction, Trump is a convicted Felon, the jury has been released, the trial is over, he just hasnt been sentenced yet, but he's been convicted and there's nothing the judge or anyone else can do during the sentencing process that can change that.

Um, seriously? Maybe because the judge can set aside the verdict or knock it down to a misdemeanor? Dunno if that's possible at this point, but I am 200% certain it's not justified or likely. Because that felon needs to do time. 34 4-year sentences to be served consecutively. Running a terrorist campaign against a court in this country is not going to fly.

My mom kept my baby teeth…except for the two that just stayed in my head. She also kept my umbilical cord. I found it once in a little box in my mom’s room and was horrified.

The slowest 12 minutes of my week. Not mad about it.

It's usually retired farmers, or nearly retired ones that go in for coffee and conversation in the early morning, but active farmers might meet later on, when they're ready to take a break and talk. Also, Seth, do you want me to build you an Elder Dragon Highlander deck around Jackals? The type isn't supported, but if you tell people it's a 4 they'll get the idea. Games are more fun with bad cards anyways! As much say? I would like to think I have a little more pull around there...

@@lynnhettrick7588 Captioning jackal here. No, these are actually properly done to broadcast standards (they use the correct margins and are properly phrased for absorbing at a glance). Whomever does the Late Night TV episodes as a whole probably does these as well (meaning they may be done in-house or they outsource to a company that does all the NBC shows). While I'm glad YT and other social media apps can provide automatic captions for accessibility's sake, they are generally a hot mess, to put it politely.

Thank You, Seth. You're doing important work. Truly.
