    Thanks Mike..I guess that put a stop to my crazy notion of having a break barrel rifle that could break down compact..Thought I could replace pivot bolt with removal pin w/ring and mod a folding stock...to pack in a backpack..oh well..

    It would take a special design & high quality steel to purposely make a rifle to disassemble in a quick break down fashion, but to try it with a already made air rifle would result in problems, like accuracy & P O I shifting. usually with a air rifle once the shooter has it gone over internally so it had the T L C custom parts & fresh lube usually they will have it scoped & dialed in and they will Rack it as is for next time , otherwise every time you put a scope back on you have go thru it all over again spending a lot of time

    This is exactly the way I did it. But when I was putting the barrel back and tryed to put that screw back, the jam's spring tension wouldn't let me. The same situation you have here...so I closed the barrel, place it vertically on the end cap and pressed the barrel down with one hand. When those holes in the block got in line with those on the forks, I just put the screw back with my free hand. Well, it worked with my gun...

    It was worth sharing that it could be done / because that other video I did would be partially incorrect because I had the barrel open in that one. Thinking out of the box is what I try to do and also finding out for yourself is a good thing because you learn that way. Iam the same way / now others may be able to swap the barrel if they are capable enough to do it without knowing how to remove the internals / they have you to thank for that so good job and thanks for letting me know

    The original hatsan seal is made from kind of hard plastic compared to the aftermarket seals maybe this will cause the burning also. I modified several Hatsan's 135/155 with a james macarri aftermarket seal. Did put the seal in it for a UK made Webely Patriot. They fit well. Just had to made a custom adapter to be able to mount it onto the piston. Just wondering if it would be an idea to hone the receiver tube with a hone device, this will make the inside of the tube able to stick the lube in a better way.

  • @MrSteppingstone888

    @MrSteppingstone888

    9 ай бұрын

    Usually I ll hone out the entrance of the tube a lot and go thru all the slots and holes and some in the cocking slot area. but inside the air chamber I will inspect it first often there enough micro scratches for lube to get burnished into, if I do anything more in theses big hatsan magnums its a careful quick cross hatching using a mini three blade flexible hone in warm soapy water running it in and out in air chamber area quickly for no more than eight seconds. you need the air chamber to fit the seal as snug as possible so you don't want to hone the whole area down others have mod the piston button and installed a 30mm Vortek Vac seal but you need a lathe and I have done similar with other guns

  • @mauritsjupiter2584

    @mauritsjupiter2584

    @@MrSteppingstone888 Yes exactly, it needs micro scratches as you state. I just wonder what would be the best grid size for the honing stones. I found a honing device in my local tool shop with grid/roughness 60, 80, 220 and 280 those are used to hone engine cilinders and hydraulic brake cilinders. I have a lathe to make modicifations. Also planning to make an internal shock absorber within the piston.

    @@mauritsjupiter2584 you can find the small flexible hone on Ebay even a fine one will work but be careful you dont want to over do it I have used those to hone out air chambers when they had a irregular over tight spot causing the piston to hang up. if you have a 135 you can lathe your piston button to fit a Vortek Vac piston seal and make it so it expands the seal more for a better over all shot cycle. vortekproducts.com/ourstore/

    Among my airguns guns I have this 135 in .25. Its more of a novelty that I bought because its oddly satisfying to put holes in stuff with one of the worlds most powerful brake barrels - childish as it might be. Anyway, basically what you are telling me is that I can put a 135 .30 barrel assembly on it and make even bigger holes in stuff, correct? Now, where do I get my hands on one of those?

    In the USA nowhere, hatsan won't sell a barrel assembly I had not had a 135 .30 cal to confirm that you could put that on a 135 / .25 I dont see why it wouldn't switch out, but you never know until you actully see it f because manufactures do weird stuff at times. you could google search outside of the U S and see if you can find parts that ship to the U S if its worth it to you, probably be better off buying a 135. 30 and be done with

Now I have my own custom piston seals for those , they make the shot cycle smoother and the piston edge will not burn off and typically you get your full feet per second its a very nice upgrade for a hatsan magnum. the guns are a royal pain to work on In all honesty John contact me via email go to my channel click the abut tab and scroll down you will see where it says email I can go thru that entire gun and get it done etc.. use my email for further info Thank you Mike E.

    Hi sound like you are trying to install the barrel block with the internals in place with the cap on. it is best to remove the end cap and spring tension or ram so the barrel and cocking arm is free to shift and I use the tapered punch sometimes I have to slip it thru the barrel bolt hole on the fork then while its still inside I carefully flip it over and slip it thru the opposite side to get it aligned up. with that you can get the bolt thru then install the internals. I did do a video with out pulling the internals but it is to difficult and it also depends on what gun it is and its best just to have the internals out

    that is spot welded on. you have a dove tail with stop pin hole I would use a 4 screw minimum one piece mount with stop pin If you have use the weaver slots with separate rings #1 inspect the slot at the bottom that the rings will be used in and be sure they are machined cleanly & square, some have come out not correct. and if yours is good I push the front ring towards the barrel when in the slot then tighten & the rear ring when in the slot towards the butt end then tighten that way you are covered for rearward & forward re coil which you have a lot of forward recoil also be sure to clamp rings so the gaps between half's are even & scope is level with top of barrel block I use two levels one on the barrel block the other on the scope hope the info will be useful I never know what a persons knowledge base is/ you need a good springer rated scope or your reticle will shift if your barrel happens to be a good one I use a zeroed scope ( reticles are in the center adjustment ) then adjust the barrel to the DOT I am aiming at by bending the barrel carefully after each shot till I get as close as I like

    which model is it .& what caliber is it.? get some 3/4" cleaning patches from wall mart and a thin brass rod ace harde ware smooth & round over the ends and botte of goo gone clean the barrel good if you bought a sniper you have to open the hand break to remove the baffels or you will get patches stuck there's a 125 sniper video that shows how to do it. after cleaning the bore good run dry patches down to remove any excess goo gone. then slowly push a pellet down thru the bore ( SLOWLY ) lol you trying to feel & see what the pellet to bore fit feels like get pellet into breech and use a small punch or similar to get it in just inside then use your rod. / tilt barrel slightly not quite a 45 so the rods weight has no effect on pushing the pellet but is heading down. If the pellet slides thru with no contact in a few spots but then you feel a light pellet drag that normal ! Ideal would be consistent light pellet to bore contact, but free fall totally loose in most of the bore is bad consider that a bad barrel / use only one layer of the tissue when you do the breech seal test sniper video marker at 5:min in kzread.info/dash/bejne/dXWdw8aiiNLYj8o.html

    @@medee5712 Perfect thats the best caliber for those big magnums the shot cycle is smoother then the .22 due to size of the bore & .25 cal usually the bores come out better then the other .22 so you have a good chance of getting a good barrel

    If its a hatsan 125 / 135 where the power level is extreme, I would think it could, due to the barrel blocks lock up slightly changing every time / I had friends have a machinist make them a new bolt just a tad over size so they had to just lightly sanded them down to get a fit then they cut their own groove where the tiny set screw needed to be. the hatsan pivot bolt is a odd size

    Mike.... You live in Billings?!!? (MT.) I'm from there, also. I'm thinking of buying a Hatsan 125 (.22 cal) from a fellow member on the GTA Forum, with less than 200 shots through it for $150. with the sling (never used), and several tins of JSB pellets, the original box, etc. It is less than a year old and he bought it from PA. I already have over 35 in my collection, but No Hatsans.... my spring guns (28 of them) are all German (Weihrauch, Diana & Walther) except for four Xisico's that I bought fully tuned from my friend, Mike Melick... who is very well known for being the number one Chinese Airgun tuner in the US. Anyway, Mike... am just wondering if buying and adding a Hatsan, especially the 125... to my collection is Really worth it, just to have a Hatsan.... what say you? : )

    You have to clean the bore with the goo gone then do a pelet to bore test by pushing the pellet down the bore slowly with a thin rod so it won't push against the skirt giving a false reading if the bore is ok fair or good and seems to group well then you could spend more to have it gone over. Normally I wont do it because I work 5 days a week and I just dont have the time normally people ask and I send them to my friend Rich and he will send the trigger to me if the customer wants to pay the 55.00 for it to be done & shipped back to rich. personality unless you have money to burn I would not bother between shipping back & forth and vortek parts etc/ see if the barrel is good and let me know

    Hi Rick the gun are built beyond the piston seals ability to maintain the best seal they all wear in & level off showing feet per second below of what the gun is capable of getting/ But once the factory lube has been changed out the hatsan seal will last longer then normal . people used to use molly and burnish the reciver tube on typical airguns of high quality but hatsan magnums are not your standard weihrauch german gun and piston seals should never be taken down for sizing like on some german guns Instead the rear of the receiver needs to be rheem & honed out for enlrgement & smoothness so the new seal wont be damaged or nicked Lube wise no more croshacthing & molly ,instead I burnish the reciver with a different lube carefully with a home made tool like in this video 13:55 into it kzread.info/dash/bejne/g6Zs1ryMnJm7gaw.html

    @@RickDelmonico Hi Rick Yes I know the old school set in stone ways for croshatching and lubing guns/ and for years no one dared say or do anythng different. air guns & forums can be such a snitty world . "comes down to common sence, " burnishing molly is not the only way or only the proper way it simply was the old school back in the day way some use krytox in that case they polish the tube instead of cros hacthing etc Often guys who burnish the tube with molly dont even do it properly btw it was the old school info that we all learned & started from and it progressed from there

    Mike great videos, but this is a question about where to get parts for a Hatsan 95 Vortex, can't find the correct filler port tube and nobody at Hatsan USA has the time to answer the phone, very rude. broke down my 95 and pulled the gas tube, ordered a filler valve from Hatsan and after the order was placed I saw a PCP valve on the order , will that one work on my 95? Also do you know of any place to buy parts for the 95 Vortex? Doing a trigger job or clean up while I wait to see if it will ever shoot again. Thanks and as before yours are so good , or should I say great. Thanks

    Hatsan usa has request forms to fill out to request parts they will not sell you a barrel assembly. did your ram loose power they eventfully fail and I rebuild them properly so they wont fail like the factory one do. I do not know what you ordered but a pcp pump & fill probe that goes into the rifle or gas ram is needed/ the probe has two O rings on it it lets air out & seals it from leaking during filling 150 bar is all you want any more just adds more recoil. hatsan usa has model diagrams you get your model & find the part name & Part number and fill out a request form if you buy a new gas ram it will eventfully fail you can send me your ram I rebuild them properly awaysmike@hotmail.com
