@@mahendran189 I don't believe there is as this would drain the battery and that's a key selling point over Garmin. However you can start an activity with the GPS off and this would give you HR data.

Nice looking watch. I have heard good things about it. I stick with Garmin mainly to support local jobs. The dual GPS feature is interesting. I have in on my Garmin Fenix 6 but everyone says don't use it since only GPS satellite only is more accurate. I have mine turned off. I got this from the Garmin forums. Great review

I also switched from Garmin to Coros Pace 3 for the same reasons. Quite happy after having it for a couple months now. My only complaint is the training load feature can be a little discouraging now and then. Also, my battery doesn't last as long as you report but it's much longer than my Garmin.

My battery seems to last forever. Definitely 38hrs of running. Don't get to bogged down by one metric. Take all the metrics and be guided by the macro not the micro.

it's excellent if you use coros's hrm arm band too, planning to buy their coros pod 2 because I find the pace on the watch is a bit delayed for my liking and to complete the triad of pace 3 + hrm + pod 2.

I have the Coros pace 3 and I am also enjoying it and left Garmin. I also have their arm strap and use it when I work out since it’s so easy to transport and comfortable. My only gripe is I keep my watch tight with a Velcro band and sometimes I’ll look at my heart rate and it will be like 62. I know it’s not that so in my other wrist is an apple watch and I’ll get the reading and it like 80. I put on a pulse oximeter to compare and it matches the 80. So basically sometimes just wearing the watch the heart rate tanks out. However, the important think it’s accurate in my sleep and accurate with my Coros arm strap when I exercise. I also wish you could delete all the wellness checks on the app now that those are available which is a cool feature like Garmins Health Snapshot. I also wish you could add a note to your report of how you’re feeling. Lastly, I wish they would add abnormal heart rate alerts as that woukd be easy to do since you can put it on always on heart now. If it detects your heart while your still (other watches you can determine the number 100,110,120) it will alert you. This could be a life saver for some in their sleep. It would wake them up in the middle of the night if their heart rate goes up. Or it can determine stress and you can do a wellness check as it allows you to do now.

Apple has always been spot on for me. The other negative thing it only records your heart rate in the app every 30 minutes. Garmin is every two minutes in their app. Seems like it would be hard to get an average heart rate recording the in the app every 30 minutes. It shows it on my display in real time. You can also set it it to 10 minute readings but it only records the app data every 30 minutes.

@@chriscarpunky the watch format on and off the heart rate reading every 10mins whereas the Garmin doesn't. That's why the Coros battery life is so much better than the Garmin. They'll all be doing the same as Coros soon.

I don’t think so. Garmin Instinct is always on and has a battery life of 40 days and unlimited if your in the sunlight a couple hours a day. My Coros is set to always on heart rate. It drains a little more but anyway if you or I have it set for 10 minutes to read the heart rate then I’m just saying I think they should record it in the app every 10 minutes. It doesn’t drain the battery because you only have to sync once a day so that data would go to the app. You are getting a read 6 times an hour if you have yours on 10 minute readings. However, your app only records it once in 30 minutes on the app. I could do a big HIIT for 20 minutes and it wouldn’t show up in the app. It would show up in the workout data though. Hopefully, I made sense of what I was trying to say. I do like it though.
