I'm 65 and I'm still obsessed with this song. Love this band.
Damn it, this song is too good. I keep coming back. Can't stop.

Let me take you back one more time.
What!?!?! Cornershop and soko!?! This is the best. Collaboration. Ever.
i'm having a great time listening to cornershop :)
Amazing. Can't stop listening. One of my top 10.
Thanks for that, very good to know it keeps you as warm as leg warmers.
Brother, I feel this so much much right now. This song happened at just the right time and most definitely the right place. Thanks.
her voice
Probably one of their best tracks
chill tune
and they have a song with soko too, this band is amazing
Just heard this for the first time the other day. Love it!
Not heard this before, I'm on the Sky Train in Bangkok listening to this laid back music.

It's been home for me for the last 3 years .
There’s dancin' behind movie scenes Behind the movie scenes, sadi rani She’s the one that keeps the dream alive From the morning, past the evening To the end of the light :-)
I love this track.
Heard this song on Radio 6's jukebox a few weeks ago, was immediately hooked, bit of research, ordered the album, love it to bits, full of awesome tunes. Must now dive into what I believe is your ample back catalogue. So weird, all these years after loving Asha! Thanks for the music. PS Get yourself some solid gold for real, you'll be glad you did.
It’s so niche I love it
You make everything... groovy 😎
Never thought of it like that, but hey as Lou Reed has done very poor material for decades, that is a lovely thought which has put a smile on our face.

@cornershop: there would be no Cornershop in its present state without Lou Reed. How does that quote go, from the documentary The History of Rock and Roll go? Something like, "The first thing everyone did the first time they heard The Velvet Underground was run out and start their own band." I'm still incredulous at the way some Brits still try to steal the origin of Punk away from the Ramones.
Guys!! this song is awesome. Its been my "CHEER-UP" winter song of 2013 :) I've been listening to it while freezing my butt off cycling to the train station every morning :)

Where do you live? London? Greeeeedy meee!!!!
I added to a Spotify playlist years ago...I wish I could remember how I found it
Based on the comments below this could be a take off of Reed's "Vicious", "Sweet Jane", or "Wild Thing". That could indicate that Reed was repetitive. I prefer that he had a style that was reflected in those three songs and that this song is in the same style. All four are great.
It's cool that they remade Brimful of Asha to do this song. Really impressive that they sampled their own track. 100% amazing musical talent.
I totally agree with you Bill Goodwin
Inspiring and introspective.... love it.
God, I love this. Roll on May when Urban Turban is released.
beautiful song
Hi Gazza7 thank you this is a dream comment for us, please do check the two LPs before Urban Turban, and do subscribe to the mailing list via our website. Glad to have you back on board.
Fav
makes me feel like Land of Loops - that's a good thing.
Something, makes you feel like. 😊
Perfeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeect.
Great ! Great ! Great !🎸⚡️🇩🇪🔥
Just heard this on CKUA, awesome!
This reminds me of Wild Thing, really good song though :)
It's not about the composition being original, it's about the text and the melody (the bass line in this song), making an original composition for a song is nearly impossible these days. Thousands of songs are just the same chords as this, "Wild Thing", or "Sweet Jane".
thank you

Hardly. Soko can sing outside the monotone. And is still alive.
You're way to young to be depressed... and way to nice to be stressed! So put a smile on your face ;)
wow
Sweet Jane
You deserve way more press than you do :) This is excellent.
sweet jane
sweet. reminds me of CSS
:) Any plans of coming to the Netherlands to perform?? I've been following you guys since I was a student back in India.
That's one sexy vocal
Cool. Sounds like "Sweet Jane". (see Velvet Underground)

ChiefFartFeathers ....great song...a lot of people comparing it to sweet jane....I'm not sure on that....I'd say this is a lot more up tempo and a far superior song....that's just me though....I love every cornershop song she sings in
has anyone pointed out the similarities between space girl - frances forever and this song??? Specially the verse and chords used??? i actually think frances is on that plagiarism limit if thats how we can call it, tried doing some research but no credits to this song whatsoever hahah just wanted to say it, i looove this song
it is very 'walk on wild side' inspired....
gloria?
Afro Visioñ
can't find the lyrics :(
HAHA
I assume, that "simple" would be a lot better expression for Lou Reed's meterial, than "poor"..
I like it, but isn't this a bit VU cover band (Sweet Jane)?
Well that may be so for yourself, but we will go with "poor," and we think Lou is most full of crap as an individual too.

@Cornershop: see the clip entitled, "Are you happy being a schmuck?" It's highly unlikely he would have cared. 40+ albums in a multitude of genres. Not bad for a guy who couldn't sing.👳♂️
