Dear Rachel, my confession is I've lived in Arizona for 30 years and I've never mastered the art of tortilla making. Both my flour and corn tortillas resembled something more suited to a construction site instead of the dinner table. Until now. I purchased a tortilla press and played your channel in the kitchen as I made corn tortillas. When they actually puffed up in the pan and turned out soft and muy delicioso I was so happy!!! Next time I'm trying flour tortillas. Thank you for sharing your techniques and knowledge!!

Tamales canarios use golden raisins as well as pecans, pineapple chunks, rice four instead of masa harina, and no lard. So many different varieties of tamales that most people outside of Mexico has ever heard of 😮🫔

I am gluten free and my new daughter in law is from El Salvador. This is so exciting. I hope to impress her. And enjoy what look so delicious thank you.

I have mine with butter rolled up for breakfast with scrambled eggs, refried beans and salsa

when i grow up i want to be able to say 'Tortillas" like she does...😋

The best treat, a fresh hot corn tortilla right off the comal....yum! My dear Rachel, you've blessed us all with an arsenal of the best and easiest ways to enjoy traditional and delicious Mexican food. And now adding corn tortillas is perfect. I love making them as I inherited Johnny's mama corn tortilla press. It's also the one I sue to make your gorditas de azucar recipe. I always like to keep corn and flour tortillas in the house but I end up throwing away more than I eat because it’s just me. So I decided to just make my own. Thank you Rachel for this updated version of your tortillas. I think the timing is so much better in this version, and am even, as I type this, resting my masa for a new batch. I think cooking them longer than this version of 25, 30, then 10ish seconds was too long, but wasn’t smart enough on my own to do it this way. Thanks again, for all of your wonderful videos. Pancake style or "stacked" is the only way my family made them growing up, unless it's green enchiladas. Oddly enough, I like the taste of the powder ones once in a while and I love the way Rachel makes them!! Many people get stuck in their way but I think it's good to experiment for a change.
