I really came close to crying. Obviously I didn't know Paul, I wasn't even a fan during his time. However, the emotion and power of this music makes it impossible not to feel what he was feeling at this moment. You can tell that he is channeling all of his sorrow and anger into his performance, and that makes it so much more real than any top 40s artist who just spews out meaningless lyrics written by a committee who designed them to be catchy and easy to sell to ignorant people. This is the spirit of a real musician.

People always peg Slipknot as this evil, twisted or satanic band, usually for no other reason than because of the way they dress and their horror movie type masks. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Sure, some songs are dark, but a lot of their music is very emotional and this right here proves that they are human beings who love and care just like the rest of us. Damn, this beats all of the emotional sobbing performances of other artists who just stop mid song. The pain just added to the vocals and made them stronger

For those who don't know, this song is about Corey's first divorce, not about Paul. The reason Corey has such an emotional bond to this song is because this was the last song they recording for All Hope is Gone, and thus the last song Paul and Corey worked together on. And like Corey had said, "They were like brothers."

Thinking about Corey and how this song relates to him I think of this song *hitting him like a 10 ton pallet of bricks emotionally.* I'm just listening to it and it hits me at an emotional core that I didn't think I had. It's astounding that he was able to articulate his emotions and even more incredible that he could preform something so personal in public for the world to see him. I'm a big fan of "made of scars" by stone sour (Also Corey Taylor) but snuff proves that scars run deeper than the skin and flesh especially in Corey.

My son had this as his ring back and he died of cancer i cry when I hear this song

You can really hear the pain in his voice at 3:08, Corey Taylor is honestly one of the most genuine people I've ever seen. Brother you deserve so much, Paul's definitely proud of ya.

I dedicate this to Joey Jordison, his death was a devastation and it broke me. We'll always remember the greatest drummer that ever lived, rest in peace Joey.

I have nothing but respect for Corey Taylor crying like he did. A man like him, headstrong to the core and built to last, showing his soft side during a song for Paul Gray. Saying he is a pussy for crying on stage is like saying you wouldn't care if your loved ones passed. Everyone is human, and everyone cries, sometimes on the inside and outside. If what you stand for is men being allowed to cry then you better flaunt it because if you dont then you're just as bad as the people who dont think emotions are ok

To the hateful comments calling him weak for crying...Saying its gay...saying its not manly...He lost one of his best friends, for gods sake show some damned respect. If you lose a loved one, you dont just go on like nothing happened, it hurts, and it doesnt very much go away. You're the weak ones for being so closed minded about other people and their emotions. Someone who is weak is someone who is afraid to show their sorrow, whos afraid to open up, all it does is put your insecurities to the forefront.

Corey Taylor is my absolute favorite singer/songwriter. Everything he does, he does it with passion. You can feel his anguish during this performance. I'm battling depression as well, and a lot of his music has helped me cope. It let's me realize that I'm not the only one dealing with this darkness. Thank you Corey for being a rock for myself and I'm sure many others.

Before Slipknot and Stone Sour, I discovered Alice In Chains, and songs like Down in a hole, Brother, Rotten Apple, Would and Nutshell helped me get through. People always asked me why I listened to sad music if I was sad, and all I could say was "they understand what I'm going through, and they made it through to write about it". Depression is a constant fight, but if I can get through it, believe me so can you! Never stop fighting, and keep on rocking! Peace!!!

The balls a man like him has to write such deep words and sing them and share them with millions. Saved a lot of peo0le with this kind of music

I’ve literally balled my eyes to this song numerous times. During heartache, during addiction, it truly helped me release my emotions I couldn’t keep in anymore.

God damn... My dad was a Marine, I always cried when I saw him come from after seven long months of hoping he isn't dead. The thought of losing him made me cry every night. I've been strong on emotions ever since, but this is different. It's the same thought, only instead of it not happening, it happened, and you can't change it. He poured his heart and soul into the song, you know Paul meant so much to him...

How many of us starting crying along with him when Corey broke down and let the tears come? One of my best friends died June 21st 2020 and she LOVED Corey Taylor, we had so many conversations about how we adore him and basically everything he does. I think of her every time I hear this song and it just breaks my heart that I’ll never hear her laugh or see her smile again. Rest In Peace Frankii Wuelfing ❤️ we love you and miss you so much.

i felt that, crying while singing is hard, yet, he hit every note and it still sounded good, hes brave for showing his emotions though, everyone thinks guys shouldn't cry, everyone has emotions regardless of their gender.

Seeing someone like Corey cry is just a sign of so much strength and braveness...

The only reason why they feel they need to do this, to name an album after Paul, to linger onto his death till the point where it becomes downright pathetic is because (according to Pauls wife) no one showed ANY interest to actually intervene while Paul was locked up in his room shooting up. And now they will regret that for the rest of their lives. I know how it feels.

I have never cried before listening to a song or watching a video. Until now. Tears are coming out of my eyes. RIP Paul Dedrick Gray.

Corey is one the greats of this era.

You know there's always that moment you need a hug from someone and when I heard this for the first time I was like wow, I've never felt sadness like this. And still to this day I listen to this song and it makes me want to brake down and cry

Makes me miss Chester Bennington even more watching one of my role models still hearing thinking of all the work they had left to do would of gave anything to see this man and Chester together

i played this at my friends funeral after hurricane sandy hit she got killed by a falling tree when i heard i was devastated i almost killed myself i knew her from back when we were five years old and i was dating her and was gonna ask her to marry me i started drinking profusely and locking myself in my room but then realized she wouldn't want me to live like that so i recovered for her

I know how you feel. I lost my soul mate. Even though it is coming up on 15 years since he passed, I still miss him & love him. Loss is rough. There is no " easy button" to healing. I think getting a memorial tattoo would be a beautiful way to show your love for her forever.

Cory Taylor is by far the most genuine person in music. This song always hit my heart but this performance really brought out the tears. I could feel the emotional pain of his heart being broken from loss.

I started listening to Slipknot back when my grandfather past away just after the gray Chapter and I was immediately drawn to this song to help with the grief and it’s also helped me completely with my own health issues. Cory is one of the best singers I’ve ever listened too.
