Coral Bay to South Lefroy Bay

In this episode we continue to work our way up the Ningaloo Coast leaving 14 Mile and heading into Coral Bay. The weather took a turn and we ended up getting a huge dump of rain so snorkelling was off the cards as the storm surge meant water visibility at Coral Bay was not great. From there we headed into South Lefroy Bay, what an amazing place!! Spent a week at South Lefroy and was treated to some beautiful snorkelling and red hot fishing. The new spear gun also got a good workout! Enjoy! 😊

We visited Coral Bay from 14 mile beach, had the best snorkelling at 5 fingers reef which was out past the boat ramp in Coral Bay. Mind you there was a kid who got bitten by a bronze whaler at 5 fingers recently!

Yeh that was 'vaning around oz', we were camped next to them at Bullara when their eldest got attacked at 5 fingers. Very scary!! When we were out at 5 fingers the water was all chopped up from the recent storm so visibility in the water was no good. Next time! 👍🍻

Hey guys, glad u like the vids! I use Premier Pro for the vids and After Affects for all animations. I'm a bit of a geek at heart so have really enjoyed learning the software. :) 🍻👍

There are cheaper options out there, I think Adobe have Premier Elements which has similar features but is much cheaper. I did a lot of similar sound composition stuff before using Premier Pro so the learning curve was not to bad, coming in fresh it can be a bit daunting! Good luck let me know if u need any tips.

Coral Bay is over priced nonsense. Been there twice. Vowed never go back. the bay used to be filled with coral but there was a sewage outflow pipe built offshore in the 50s and the nitrates wiped out the coral near land. The tours are the only way to see good coral, its really good coral offshore. i went to the tourist info centre at exmouth and chose a coral bay tour, they booked me on the wrong one. The eco tour was billed to see all wildlife but mostly mantas. but fine print they dont have a permit to get near whale sharks. i saw no mantas. they basically made us snorkel in coral all day which i could have done for half the price. We watched other boats swim with whale sharks 100m away from us while we just pretended to be looking for mantas all day - was so frustrating. i asked if i could redo the tour as id not seen a manta - it was a manta tour - most tours offer a redo if you dont see stuff, they just kind of ignored it. i got off the tour totally cranky. Felt like id been ripped off $200. Id stayed at the backpackers and met nice tourists but the business operators at Coral Bay felt like sharks to me. Theyve gotten away with it for so long...they wont change. Five fingers was nice. The coral offshore is excellent. Its just the businesses there have that outback mentality, you know where you cant get fuel until you pay for it first, its that sort of, youre getting in their way feeling, customer service doesnt exist.
