Yup it’s always the same old EXCUSE! It’s absolutely pathetic and disgusting…And whether they’re right or wrong if you challenge what they are saying even when they are totally wrong they think no matter what they say goes whether it’s lawful or not they are so egotistical they let their emotions get in the way of what’s right and what’s wrong, what’s LAWFUL what is the point of upholding the laws when they never uphold them they just make up their own 🤦🏼‍♂️ And most of the time they get away with it because people either don’t know their rights or they are too scared to defend them so they just go with whatever the police officers tell them, which is the whole problem with this world we have to stop letting police officers just get away with whatever the hell they feel like doing to people otherwise this will never stop and it will just keep getting worse!

No way should he be a law enforcement officer. And the sergeant should be fired immediately and also never allowed to work in law enforcement again. And he should also be banned from owning firearms, he’s definitely a threat to society.

No joke, this is the absolute truth in Chicago. I’m not quite ACAB but I’m not TBL either. I believe in accountability and professionalism. I have family that’s fairly “cops can do no wrong” and I was going to visit a friend in Chicago one weekend and they told me, “I know I always support the police, but if the CPD shows up, you should run to the nearest gang controlled block like your life depends on it. Because it does. They aren’t cops in Chicago, they’re government-backed mafia and I’d really recommend you just don’t set foot in that city.” That was 15 years ago. Before we found out about the CPD detention black sites and the such. To this day I have not, and will not, drive through that city or take any flight with a layover in that city.

Pilot, I 100% agree with your assessment regarding this incident. I was just killing time n watched its entirety. Unbelievable how egotistical narcissistic that Sgt. acted. Troopers are supposed to descalate whenever engaging in conversation such as this specific individual. His threatening stance n body n facial language shows an officer that likely was placed at a desk for good reason if the truth was known. I say that with respectful manner as I obviously don't know that circumstance. By any standards, this interaction needs to handled at the first opportunity imho. Absolutely shocking the arrogance this supervisor conducted himself. All being visible to the general public n worse setting a extremely poor ethical impact against all Troopers nationwide. That said, they generally shelf n bury complaints. While using the old adage we don't have a incident number filed nor case number, so unfortunately we are unable to conduct a further investigation. 99% of people stop there, an for the remainder of their lives they hate all LEO's. That needs to be addressed n taken very seriously, as our society has changed. Most Americans find most LE agencies extremely untrustworthy, disrespectful n even treasonous violations towards our Constitutional Rights. The higher ups need to start requiring further training, as this is UNACCEPTABLE STANDARDS for ALL TROOPERS N fellow LE agencies.

I wish we lived in the fantasy land where this will actually happen. Civil rights abuse settlements need to come right out of the police pensions--hit them where it hurts. Stop making taxpayers foot the bill every time Barney Fife over here decides he's going to abuse law abiding citizens because they're not blindly complying. These police are taught from the top down to abuse their authority, retraining is not going to help when the police (IA) investigated themselves and found nothing wrong, so in their eyes, they stuck to their training. People who still have a hardon for cops after proof of hundreds of civil rights violations being swept under the rug across the country (especially all the times we aren't lucky enough to see) make me sick. They often call themselves patriots, yet allow these thugs to stomp on our civil rights.

That trooper Lavoie simply put has a horrendous ego and when he feels that his ego is being put into check he pulls the ultimate power move and that’s “put your hands behind your back” as his hands are shaking and his voice is cracking, he’s is a shame cloud over the State of Connecticut as a trooper. The problem with this officer is when he thinks someone might know more than he does about the law he sees it as “baiting”. It’s absolutely pathetic.

Lieutenant Fahey should really be dismissed from the police department. Total lack of control. Obviously doesn't like being filmed, because he's an old timer and feels he can rough people up if they don't do what he says. Typical egomaniac cop. I think we can all picture the things alot of the old cops did and absolutely got away with, it's exactly why there's so much lack of respect an trust with all the police force by people. It's crazy how many dirty cops there is within it whether they are the old timers or young ones. It makes it so difficult for the truly decent caring officer out there who just want to make things better but they suffer the same shitty label that is there because of the criminals in it. I hope you're all doing alright & are having a great year but if not I wish you the best an I'm sending you some good karma 😀 whoever and wherever you're from! ✌ Stay safe & you likely all do know basic laws but if not strongly recommend you do that.

As a 26 year retired veteran law enforcement officer from my unique perspective finding this difficult to comprehend, I am left in a state of utter perplexity witnessing these unreasonable authoritarian behaviors. I myself have reached a point of total disgust and shame for these public displays that ultimately lead only to disgrace and dishonor. These overt vicious visceral attacks on members of the public are the very driving forces for the general animosity and distrust of law enforcement, personally I have become a shameful spectator of the career in which I devoted over two decades of my life pursuing' not even acknowledging my past affiliation in conversation.
