Copper Falls State Park Campground Tour and the Doughboy Trail to the falls

We start with a hike to Red Granite falls, then at around 5:30 we take a campground tour.
We then visit the beach at Loon Lake. Followed by a morning hike of the Doughboy trail that includes Copper Falls, Brownstone Falls, Devils Gate, Dad River, and the Tyler Forks Cascades.
All of this was shot at peak color.
Don't miss the stunning landscape photos at the end of the parks highlights

Well done! Very nice to see the campground and what each of the sites look like. Also great to see the park. I went there many times as a child, seeing it again brought back a lot of good memories. Thank you!

Very nice tour, thank you. Copper falls is a State facility operated by the Wisconsin DNR . Morgan falls and the St. Peters Dome trail are in the national forest (federal) the nearby rustic campgrounds are also federal, maintained by the US forest service.

We're going to Copper Falls in August and September. Thanks for you video and all your helpful information. My hubby does a lot of work up there at the veneer mill. We also get the cores for firewood. We live in Forest County

SW, if you remember, I caught you walking in the 300 loop at Willow River last August with our large group. We just finished our annual camping trip yesterday. We took 16 sites and 70+ people at Copper Falls this past week. We basically filled the back two loops in the South Campground. One noted highlight was the DNR catching a black bear by the dumpsters in the North Campground that was getting ornery. Keep up the good work.

@@SconnyWandering Yes, but several in our group have either popup campers or RV's, and group sites only accommodate tent camping. That is why we do the individual sites.

We did Copper Falls a few years ago, we go for hiking and camping. Are there any other state parks in northern or western WI that are as good as Copper Falls for hiking? My only problem with the place was the sheer number of people.

If you are looking for great hiking and are OK crossing into Minnesota, Jay Cooke State Park is fantastic for hiking and is about 20-25 minutes south of Duluth.

The best way to see the scenery is to out there and see it for yourself. My goal is to be a guide, not a replacement for the real thing
