In dragon ball, body modifications don’t transfer to hell. Mecha Frieza turned regular when he was shown in hell in gt.

But how can you make an android in hell? For 17 he needs a human base, technology powerful enough to genetically modify an organism, and the necessary parts and presumably a laboratory. For 19, he basically needs most of that stuff, minus the human base and GMO tech. And they're in hell. They arguably shouldn't even have a body, let alone have enough freedom and resources to construct an infinite energy bio-android from scraps??? What

I think GT is a continuity of all the original anime which includes the movies. Vegeta somehow knows how to do fusion (fusion reborn), Cooler's appearance, Dragon fist. It makes sense.

To be fair, Vegeta could have also learned to do fusion just by virtue of having seen Goten and Trunks do it. He's repeatedly been shown learning to do other things with equal ease, like how he first learned to sense ki. Not to mention it's been 15 years and GT Vegeta no longer sees Goku as a rival. It's pretty easy to imagine him having practiced with Goku in all those intervening years as a just in case last resort.

@EdwardMorgan-gf8bk I think if 1 movie is canon, then the entire timeline is. The same way how Nappa appeared, so the Saiyan saga and thus entire dbz is canon to GT.

I've treated the movies like future trunk's timeline, they are something they could have happened, but didn't in our cannon timeline. So to me, there is a Cooler in the main time line, though he never attacked. With freeza and his father dead, he would assume control of those parts of the universe I would assume. Maybe he was too busy or actually happy to have his annoying brother out of the way.

I believe that Cooler’s Revenge can fit into the Main Continuity. It can take place during the 3 year time skip before the Androids. In one of Qaaman’s earliest videos on which DBZ films could be canon, Cooler’s Revenge was the 2nd films he said could be canon.

It's said that in GT files that Gohan in that timeline has been training though it's not said of the method he did it in he still trained but Metal Rildo getting advantage over Gohan ability wise because he didn't know he can turn you into metal. Also in one shots it looks like Garlic Jr Mazoku. There's also Babadi beside the guy Vegeta killed during the Namek Saga, then there's Turles Crusher Core men in the background in the Cooler shot.

In that episode, the villains that come up aren't the real version of them, they are just illusions made using Goku and Krillin's memories

I had figured that Yakon could only absorb transformation energy but not ki Blast or ki waves, or like just the light that super Saiyans make

the reason Yakun died by a ki blast is because he wasn't on his guard as for 19 he needs to absorb with his hands unlike super 17 who can do it with his whole body or maybe only the midsection the point is 19 can't absorb without his hands so Goten and Trunks's ki blasts was fast enough that 19 couldn't react

That's kinda bonkers thing which doesn't make sense but it's gohan we are talking about I think that ssj form is like a diluted version of beast gohan we saw in movie since maybe he never raged that hard so it was uncompleted

I think Cooler didn't blow up earth because he and Cold were probably ordered not to by Gero and Myuu. Since the two seemed to be in charge, they may have ordered them not to blow up earth. I also think it was more that Cooler and Cold wanted to torture Goku by killing all his loved ones before they blew up the earth, sorta like what Frieza wanted to do.

Here's my question. Why was Freiza returned to his true form when he died as Mecha Freiza from Trunks, yet was seen in the Anime afterwards fully flesh and blood but Gero still had his Android body? O think, appearance wise, the soul takes the form the owner chooses. For Gero, his strongest was as a Cyborg/ Android while Frieza would choose his original form, minus the cybernetics. For Ginyu, I think he wanted to take the form of the strongest body he had, hence we see him as the purple horn alien, when in reality, he kept the body to show the audience that it was Ginyu, not some random person we never met before.

There’s an even bigger plot hole. The villains shouldn’t even have bodies or be able to train since only those who’ve done very heroic acts like Goku are allowed to keep their bodies

They're all shown to have bodies in the dbz anime while watching goku vs kid buu. Even though that's anime filler (that got left in for kai as well) and not canon to the source material, it's still consistent with the anime continuity.

My thoughts about Ginyu are that his soul and body are separate, so his soul has his original body but when revived Ginyu gets the body he last inhabited.

That's not what he meant. What he was saying is that it makes no sense that 16 was not brought back with the dragonballs when they expressed the wish of having all the people killed by Cell come back to life (in Z ofc). Cause if 19, who is all mechanical like 16, still ended up in hell then it follows that 16 could've gone to the afterlife too. If that's the case, there is no way he couldn't have been brought back, yet he didn't. It's inconsistent.

I think ginyu had his own body back, wen The planet 🌍 Blew up( old Nemak ) in 🐉DBGT/Dragon 🐲Ball 🏀 GT

Came down to Personal Favorites within production teams. If more episodes was made both Cooler & King Cold should have left Earth immediately honestly.

GT Freeza can just be argued to be significantly stronger than Coola. He saw Goku fight Pure Boo (from Hell in Z) and was confident he could beat Goku. He was left to fight Goku despite General Rilldo being sent to Earth and The GT Perfect Files Vol 2 apparently state that he & Cell received enhancements from Dr. Mu. Also GT Gohan should be significantly stronger than he was in Z

The reason cooler doesn't just blow the planet up is the same reason frieza didn't in resurrection f. He most likely wants revenge on one of the heros on earth.

Yakon can absorbe the energy when he eats it, and in this shot his mouth was closed

i think Gohan was actually using Ultimate + ssj on GT because his eyes were looking like how they looked when he used ultimate in Z

Tbh it looks like gt can be aligned with the movie continuity considering that cooler is there in addition to goku using the dragon fist and fusing into gogeta (fusion reborn) instead of vegito.

Gohan is stated to never stopped training in GT. Rildo > Boohan Boohan > base vegito Gohan is surviving in base and had no knowledge of Rildo hax. Majiub shows up before gohan uses ssj1 ...... .... .... All forms are referred to majin boo. Manga only differentiates by body type. Daizenshuu doesnt distinguish name wise between boohan/kid boo/ or super boo Vegito transforms immediately in the manga and kai. Boohan even states vegito cant best him. Boohan also powers up in the orginal after vegito goes super saiyan. Super saiyan had trouble breaking outside space shout

Goku and Vegeta were dead in the film and Buu is non existent. So in that film, Goku or Vegeta (via his self-destruct) killed Buu so he’s not and threat and they stay dead.

I have a theory about the captain ginyu appearance in the after life maybe ginyu didn’t make it off earth when it exploded during the baby saga

​@@SaiyanGamer95 everything is Canon in Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball is a multiverse, Toriyama always wanted to make side stories, Toriyama didn't even know what canon was, he only knows now because the American fan's are obsessed with it constantly asking him what's canon

@@DBZBT4Gameplay Yeah, but people tend to argue that GT isn't canon, especially with the release of Super.

I honestly think that Cooler is just making a cameo appearance in GT. Nothing more than that. Besides dragonball as a whole has always had plot inconsistencies, and dragonball super has more plot inconsistencies than GT.

not trying to start an argument or anything, i agree with basically every point, but does super have a lot of plot holes? most of what i see are retcons, like with the potaras not being permant for mortals. buu’s magic separating them was a stretch, but a convenient, already established point

To me I’d like to think Cooler died off screen in Z (If he was canon to Z anime), but nobody knew him and even bothered to revive him as weird as that theory is

GT’s canon honestly to me seemed to just be Toei Canon. The OG and Z Anime stuff seemed to be one lopsided canon separate from the Original Series that was extended into GT. I mean, consider the following: The KAMI Sacred Water from Garlic Jr. (Either the anime filler or the film) is there Dragon Fist (Wrath of the Dragon) is in there Vegeta knowing Fusion (Fusion Reborn) Cooler is there (Cooler’s Revenge, Return of Cooler) From Fusion Reborn, we then get Bojack, Paragus, Turles Crusher Corps, Slug, and even the World’s Strongest Bio-Men, making all of their films canon to their timeline. That makes, retroactively, since Fusion Reborn is canon to GT, all of those antagonists canon to it. Like that’s just how the cookie crumbles, there.

The afterlife in dragonball has always been weird. Artificial human 19 coming back in GT doesn’t make anymore sense then Hacchan AH 8 being revived twice even though he’s also fully mechanical too

I think if another Android 17 was made in Hell, I think another android Android 19 was made too. Somehow. 😅

but, Major Metallitron(Sergeant Metallic) was also shown and he is also fully mechanical just like 19 is... so they at least brought back other fully mechanical evil androids. which would exclude 16 cause all he wanted was to kill Goku nothing else, well he did like the birds and helped Gohan just before dying. 16 wasn't in hell

Well Android 16 was good so when he died he probably went to the heavens if he has a soul, in the Super 17 saga hell was opened so all the evil characters came out not the good ones.

I think, if I had to really look for bandits answer to the earth explosion question.... Each Z fighter character at this point is so powerful and fast that if they sensed someone building planet busting energy, they would be stopped first. Just a theory. Also, maybe Goten and Trunks basic energy blasts are equal to the level of energy that Goku used to kill Yakon, and too fast for 19 to absorb.

The Super A17 arc was supposed to be either a movie or an OVA. This is why it's the only GT arc that makes no sense. Another thing, they got lucky Broly wasn't brought back... along with Bio Broly.

My headcanon is that the movies was a whole timeline to itself and GT is the ending to the movie timeline It would line up with this weird cameo lol

Hell should have been filled with Saiyans because almost every single one of them eliminated entire races of people as they took over planets.
