I initially rewound it thinking that some kook with no sense of timing just got pitched, then when I finally made it to the second half of the wave had to rewind it again to work out how he made it round the kook. Then the penny dropped. That was no kook.

Has to be CGI at 1.08. I'm sure he went over the falls and ate a bucket of sand before stumbling back onto his board. I'm 50years old and have watched alot of surf vids in my time. One of the best tubes ever!

the section he backdoors on that wave is ridiculous as well. Good thing the guy paddling for it couldn't catch it, probably never saw him or assumed he didn't make the drop.
