The coloring of the cool whip is an awesome idea. But you gotta add fryit or some kind of pound/ sponge cake. Otherwise your eating just a container of whipped topping.

I was thinking the same thing. Pound cake, angel food cake, vanilla wafer crumbles will add some texture to the otherwise extremely fluffy cream mixture of the cool whip.

I make trifle using flavored jello/Cool Whip & butter pound cake chunks & some chopped nuts. It's also good if you add the fruit that is also the jello flavor & layer with any kind of cake or cookie......one flavor per jar is delicious!!

I just made but used real whip cream and strawberries

Sugar, sugar, sugar. You need to balance it out. I would use a combination of cottage cheese and fruits mixed together. The idea with the jars are cute.

I’ve also done this with a yogurt to cut some of the sweetness too!

I would use the small mason jars and add a cookie in between each layer to cut that cool whip. The idea is very pretty but it’s a bowl of cool whip and it’s way too much. They’re gorgeous tho

Wow it's a great look, I admit but I wish folks would break the cycle on teaching kids to enjoy chemicals and artificial favors. If you did this with real cream with some pretty fruits or fruit flavors.. I think it would elevate the whole concept so much. If you wanted a gelatin in there, I'd do plain gelatin with fruit juice or blended up fruit. There are recipes around from when I was a kid where you made up the jello and then folded the whipped cream/cool-whip into it before it sets. It makes a parfait. With real fruit and real cream, it would be killer! it would taste better and wouldn't have all those chemicals. I have a stick blender with a whisk attachment that whips cream in seconds. It wouldn't be much harder that what you are doing.I don't know how much that cool whip costs now but do a price comparison to a quart of whipping cream. Even keep the peeps-- because Easter! I think you probably have the creativity to pull it off! 😊😊😊

This is how I make frosting. Cool whip and jello, on a hot day, jello and pudding to keep from melting. Nothing new-- been doing this 15-20 years.

Some vanilla ice cream Instead of yellow whip and some strawberry ice cream instead of red whip!
