I've got another yummy dessert for y'all to try! This thing is good to eat any time of year, but I think it would also make a fabulous summer time dessert with all this pineapple! Make sure you try this one!!

Pineapple Dream Dessert:
• Pineapple Dream Desser...
1 can crushed pineapple
1 container cool whip, 8 oz
1 block cream cheese, softened
1 stick butter, melted
2 sleeves graham crackers, crushed into crumbs
2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
Start by crushing up those graham crackers. You can use a ziploc bag or a food processor to crush them up, or get some pre made crust if you want. Add the melted butter and mix really good. Set aside about 1/2 cup of the crumb mixture. Press the crust into a 9x13 pan (or 2 smaller pans like I did). Put it in the fridge until you're ready for it. In a bowl, add your softened cream cheese and go ahead and blend it with your stand or hand mixture till it's kinda smooth. Then add your sifted powdered sugar in a little at a time until it's well combined. Sit it to the side. In another bowl, add your cool whip. Drain the crushed pineapple. Add half to each bowl and mix well. Take your crust out of the fridge and layer the cream cheese mixture and then the cool whip mixture. Be careful when spreading each layer. Sprinkle the reserved crumbs over the top. Put in the fridge for at least 4 hours. I put mine in there overnight.

Hahaha! You are full of personality. I agree with you girl. I can't have these desserts in the refrigerator staring at me either. They will disappear in no time.

If you would add a small box of I stand vanilla pudding to your CoolWhip you won’t have a problem with it being thin after adding the pineapple, I do that all the time and it turns out great! I also sometimes add some sweetened coconut flakes as well but I do not use Graham cracker crumbs on top.

LIGHT??? You're kidding right? There are over 4500 calories and 230 grams of fat in that mix... one slice is is more than half of what daily calories should be, and enough fat and sugar to stop a heart!

Hi Char! And thanks for your comment. I think what she meant was light and fluffy, not light in calories and fat. But I also wanted to help a little by adding that this dessert is actually 3,820 calories. It was divided into 2 pans and then each pan cut into 9 servings. That makes this dessert a respectable 212 calories per slice. And just for reference, 16 ozs of 2% milk is a little over 200 calories….as are 2 bananas. I hope this helps😊

@@TalesFromAnEmptyNest No offense intended, but as somebody who loved to eat, was obese most of their life and consequently suffered from lots of debilitating illnesses... until going whole food plant based, I am hyper focused on learning to love the foods that love me back. Pineapple dream sounded interesting...but for me it was more of a pineapple nightmare! LOL.

@@CharGC123 no offense taken. We all have opinions and that’s ok. I’ve been a nurse for over 20 years so I totally understand health issues. That’s why we should eat things like this in moderation if we choose to eat them. And great job on getting healthy! I know how much of a struggle that is😊
