Honestly using bicycle cards are mainly used for casual play like blackjack or poker. They are unreliable for Cardistry and magic. You can buy a good deck for about $15 but I understand if you can’t buy new and good cards. It makes it a lot easier using a good deck trust me. It makes it a lot easier

It's called the paintbrush color change. Basically you grab a double and slide off the top card while brushing the deck... if you know what I mean...
