I'm a spoon carver getting interested in bushcraft, and even if the camping aspect of it looks cool, what really makes me want to try it out is the cooking. I have fond memories of fire cooking at scouts but back then we'd make something simple so we would still have time to do other stuff afterwards. Going out of your way to cook an actual good dinner from scratch in the woods seems so fun. Now I really want to just take a day out, hike to a cool locations, make a fire, cook myself a good lunch and then carve a spoon by the fire

I agree! I’m 28 and still struggle when cooking sausages or eggs, never know when either are cooked well enough so I just leave them in the pan for way longer than they need to be.

We have a local pub that puts a 750 degree granite rock in front of you, so can cook up an assortment of meats and veggies right at the table... One meal is a pile of sliced raw steak, peppers, onions and cheese to make a perfect Philly Cheese Steak.. YEEEEEUUUUMMMMM

Great video. Love this content. You sir have earned my sub. You've probably already seen, or done it.....I just watched a fella do a rotisserie chicken, powered by a passing river. Pretty cool. Stuff like this had made me realize that we don't have to be reduced to boring food, when we are out in nature.
Never seem to have a bad video and I ate like 20min before this video was posted and now I'm in the middle of cooking at least half of what this man cook on fire and a rock 🔥🔥 and dont look anywhere near as good you should get some food platters patented rock on Kent 🤘🤘 you and other Bush craft channels have inspired me to start my own channel # rocky steak

likely by a river. the constant flow of water creates smoother rocks.

Andy..question: the location of ur camp..is there a time when ur not allowed to light a camp fire? Also ive Never seen u carry any caramel toffees or other sweets with u..good to keep the body going even when u feel tired n the foods not ready.
