A little follow-up for everyone: someone from 1st Playable Productions released a statement. The game was released by Planet Entertainment without Office Create’s permission. Office Create is the IP holder and said the game needed some more time to be polished a bit before release. Planet Entertainment and Office Create are in a legal battle now. Office Create had Nintendo remove the game from the eShop as soon as they found out and halted production of cartridges. As far as the Nintendo Switch console problems go, the game apparently runs on the Unity engine which is evidently causing them to overheat. The developer who came forward also mentioned that the blockchain mechanics never actually made it into the game, and Planet Entertainment just hyped their company up with buzzwords to attract investors.

Though bad isn’t nearly the right word.. then again i know of several other poorly made games.. i got assasins creed origins from a friend because i love ancient egypt.. but turns out it’s so badly pc ported that no matter how low or high i put my settings within 15 minutes of playing my fps will drop from the stable 60 it should run at to about 40.. wich is not normal at all.. (other games are completely fine the Witcher 3 for example runs as smooth as a baby’s arse apart from my own hands not doing what i want sometimes it’s a completely playable game compared to origins even if i put the unsupported nvidia settings on i have an amd card and other than making my pc a right oven it will still run at a stable 60 fps.. so it’s certainly not my pc being a spaz...)

@@sweetdreamz9282 for me the 3ds ones were pretty adorable fun they weren't that bad I just hoped for the 3ds one to get more recipes xD. The DS ones are like the mama original. so of course there great and fun so are the 3ds. -if you wanna try them both the 3ds and DS -but dont wanna like spend much money I highly advice if you have a computer or a laptop of your own to get the emulator for both of them, the dsmue is a ds emulator that is really great for running ds games on the laptop -citra nightly is great for running the 3ds games as well you can get the games to work without the use of buying a 3ds and games as well :0! Just gotta look up how to install rom 3ds games on the citra emulator :3! But that's encase you dont wanna spend like money on it and just wanna like get them all lol.

I just got my physical copy. The weird think is that on the back it says "2019". The European version says "2020". So did they make a typo in the states? Probably

i heard some legal issues are also in play, like the fact that the owner of the cooking mama IP told the devs to make several changes to the game and the devs refused to, so now the IP owner is pursuing legal action and that's why it was taken down o.o

I agree. I mean, Ive never played the game so dont know what its about, but I know that this wouldnt be removed of E-shop because there wasnt many buyers in the first hour. I mean , Miis flopped at first in there evaluation! And then it evolved into different trys to make that create a charcter game, and, after many tries, a popular thing we now know as Miis has been creafee and is very popular. So why did they give up with cooking mama within the first try while Miis took more then 15 years!

@@weefang23 I have played it a few times since I found out about all of this and I haven't noticed, but I haven't played it for more than 30-40 minutes at a time.

I just received the game this morning, European version The release date on the website I bought the game was April 7th, and got delayed, so that means I wasn’t supposed to receive it that fast Everything is getting weird around that game, but it is cool anyway ^^

For a channel of your size this video is amazing I would expect this from a channel with 100k subscribers bravo!

i remember a few weeks ago i was on instagram and got an ad for this game. it was posted by the actual nintendo instagram account, but then it was soon deleted and i hadn't heard anything new about it until this video

The whole vibe of this game is very disappointing. It doesn't feel like Cooking Mama at all, it's yet another example of companies trying (and usually failing) to appeal to younger Gen Z with "trendy" items (in this case foods such as galaxy milkshakes and rainbow grilled cheese) and social media etc. when in reality it would probably be best for them to stick to their original audience and keep the same charm the game used to have. This is such a cheap, tacky, distasteful version of a game that is quite cherished by many people. I mean, Cooking Mama never had much substance, but it definitely had a charm to it, and this new version lacks it. I was going to buy it since I loved Cooking Mama for the DS a lot as a kid, but even if this one was easier to find I don't think I'd bother. I obviously don't know for sure, but this definitely doesn't seem like a Nintendo problem.

Personally I got Physical version of this game back when it had just Released. It wasn't until several months later that I showed my Switch collection on a group chat that someone was extremely surprised that I had Cooking Mama Cookstar. I got lucky by getting a Physical copy and never realized that there was an issue until a little later on. I've been playing the Cooking Mama Series since Cooking Mama 4 and I'd say that this is my 2nd favorite Cooking Mama game. My favorite would still be Sweet Shop on the 3Ds. The entire idea of owning your own shop were you sell the food that you make, then have Chibis come in and buy them is still my favorite in the series.

2:36 just letting you know the Dualshock 4 has motion controls. It uses a gyroscope+accelerometer combo for motion processing, instead of an IR camera, which is what the Switch uses. Think of the PS4 system keyboard. You can use the controller as like a motion controlled mouse.

i remember being a second grader with a red nintendo ds and i had the game and i would play it all day (along with mario kart) 🤩🤩 the good days when i didn’t know how poor my mom was and how much she was struggling, i was just an innocent kid who loved the outdoors and my ds, too bad my home flooded and everything was left behind...

I used to have a cooking mama game on one of my old tablets and it literally curse my tablet for almost a day. I was only 4-6 and totaly terrified.

It's not done anything to my switch. Animal Crossing makes it heat up more than cooking mama does. I also don't play cooking mama for nearly as long, but just saying.

I was really hyped for this and was confused when I couldn’t find it on the Nintendo e shop

I was looking on gamefly, because I thought I had saw this game a few weeks ago, and there it was. Listed with a release date of April 13th and made by Planet Entertainment. It was also listed with a " Also On Playstation " tab. When I clicked on the playstation tab, it said coming December 31st 2020 and the scores all say "TBA". All of the screenshots and the description are exactly the same as the switch version. I have never seen this game on Amazon or any other retail website, only on the gamefly website.

The publisher is actually deep silver and the developer is planet entertainment. Koch Media which is owned by THQ Nordic owns Deep Silver. The game is all under THQ Nordic. Also the game actually released early if you go on Koch media site you can see it comes out April 28th

I went to a target just to browse and they had some copies. I got one for $30 and started playing it. Played it for about 30 mins but didn’t experience any overheating. I usually wouldn’t get something like this but I’m enjoying it.

Chloe Hatfield the graphics aren’t legend of zelda level amazing (to be fair no cooking mama game is known for its graphics), and some of the controls are a little sticky, but I really like it!
