I was there when Cookie started streaming in 2019, the stream was genuinely wholesome at the time and people were having a lot of fun (we did not know about the past allegations) but the vibe was nice at the time. I think around the time he got to 20-50 viewers, he started changing as a person, trying to get viewers as fast as possible after which I believe he (or someone) started viewbotting and was looking for ways to increase his viewer count as fast as possible (hence the twitch gifting which indefinitely went on etc.) Throughout his career on twitch, the mods tried their best to help Cookie grow as a creator and in the beginning he used to listen to advice but eventually he was just looking for yes men and looking for people who agreed with his ideas and almost completely ignored people who disagreed with him. The mods have no fault at all in whatever has happened and they are great people. He made many promises to mods like agreeing to pay them etc. but never followed through, he often said these things on stream but he just wanted to look cool. The community that the moderators built on discord was great but at one point where Cookie started being weird with his girlfriend on discord posting weird things like he got a blowjob from his GF at the time and @ing everyone in discord everything went super downhill with him becoming more and more openly horny as fuck. That was when many people couldn't take it anymore and distanced themselves from the community (mods etc.). The active discord community itself was 100% the mods and everyone in the discord who actively participated were not there for cookie at all. Its very sad looking back and thinking of how much work the people who were around Cookie did to try to help him (99% of the time for free) and the way he mistreated them.
