Yes, you can use it with meta human animator data, you can reuse data from MH animator to Cc Rig ❤❤ will do a video on this!

Also animation that are using the meta-human skeleton they can be converted into animation that will work on your CC rigs. this works after the conversion of your cc has taken place as it renamed all the bones to suit the UE skeleton

I think I’ve been using it at the start of the channel. I use to mix AI with character creator etc in the early days, I’ve been using it for a few years now, love it too!!

Lol ive just spent the last month and a half making rigs from scratch (including for face) and they drop this on my final project push, what a treat. So much better and faster than adjusting all the controllers myself to match between characters. I did end up having a strange issue where it didnt separate head and body correctly when i had additional bones in there, but upon reimport it did work and i was able to add onto the cc body rig to add a tail setup for a humanoid, cool that its flexible too!
This really is huge, I just started out trying to create a VTuber Tool for myself in UE5 and working on a model is hard. Using CC seems so frictionless now, I‘ll definitely try the trial for sure! Love your videos, they‘re the best resources I stumbled upon these days.

Thank you so much! I think they’ve got 40% off well it looks like it because I’ve just been on their website so it’s a good deal. I know people get annoyed having to pay for accessories et cetera, but you can make them in blender or Zbrush and bring them in into Character creator. You can also export your character directly from character creator to unreal engine without having to have Iclone, for those worried about cost. I personally use Iclone for my animations, but it’s all preference and budget based.
the high cost of CC has always put me off but i'm getting tempted now. thanks for the update.

This sounds too good to be true. I want to see if I understand this fully, it is now possible to create a completely a new character from scratch AND bring them in to UE AND change their mesh in all sorts of ways? I'm new to this whole CC stuff. Btw you're skilled AF. I love your vids. Seriously you're awesome and I'm so excited. I'm gonna start going through CC and maybe IClone tutorials too lol.

All the mesh needs to be created in Character creator and then imported in and the converted to CCrigs but looks like a really neat way to get more stylised characters in. MH control rigs animation can be copied and pasted onto the new CC rigs as well. Looks like UE marketplace anime’s can all be used for the characters too. There are a few license agreements that need to be adhered to if using in game. It’s worth checking those out if anyone is using anything commercially. But for films and animations it’s look pretty sharp

@@promptmuse It's not only useful stylized characters right? Like if I want uh a non stylized cyberpunk character, CC is still useful right?

This is so freaking cool! I was never really into the hyper-realistic 'MetaHuman' characters. Glad we have the option to have more stylized characters to bring into UE, with the Control Rig.

Thank you for sharing this PromptMuse! Just bought CC4 because of your video, works fantastic with UE5. I was buying actorcore FBX libraries in the past and assigning them manually to the metahuman base skeleton and then baking to control rig. This way is soooo much better and I can now use all the new characters from CC too. Thanks so much! (Now I'm going to have to get iclone as well as that saves a bunch of time stringing together animation cycles. Block out in iclone, import into UE5 then bake to control rig and add an additive control rig for fine tuning. Awesome!

I use the iClone to Unreal pipeline all the time and the transferred animations always require tweaking, especially the blinking and finger and foot animations. Thanks Reallusion, this truly is a Godsend! I actually found this more helpful than Kai’s (from Reallusion) tutorial. Prompt Muse - You have a new subscriber 😊

@@promptmuse Thanks. But I’m more interested in Pixar-Style characters and animations and this tool is perfect, because it allows for more exaggerated animations, like squashing and stretching the mesh.

hahah Yea Kia is normally a great instructor but I was totally lost in that video as well. All the confusion is at the Unreal Side. Its a ton of steps to finalize this, unreal could really use a re-work of their system and simplify it the way Reallusion has. Unreal 6 maybe ;)

@@promptmuse You mean this makes it easier to apply Unreal Markplace animations to CC4 characters ? That would be awesome, as there is a ton more animations in Unreal Marketplace vs Actorcore, big price difference too.

@@WillyCash69 haha UE 6.2 . Yeah would be nice, some of the UE tools really need to be streamlined as they a really nice but not very intuitive.

An IK control rig is a must for editing an animated character. The free blender pipeline tool for CC4 converts to the Blender rigify control rig in Blender. Reallusion is not standing still.

sadly for me i can't even do this cause my trials are up and all of sudden importing the animations is give me compatibility errors.
Nice video as always! I think alot of us still work with the UE4 skeleton or even UE5 quinn skeleton though, do you know if this supports exporting to those skeletons and not just metahuman or CC skeleton? Right now the workflow is import as CC skeleton then retarget to UE4/UE5 skel.

Use the MH capture tools onto a MH and then you can literally copy the capture from the MH rig to the CCRIg will be doing a tutorial in this very soon!
Nice Video! You know how to use double perlin noise on a character creator or metahuman control rig?
Could you please explain how it is better than animating via iClone? I mean you can rig any character via AccuRig and give it any pose imaginable via iClone. Then, transfer the character and animation to Unreal using Live Link. Why is there a need for this plugin?

Just a hint if you want to use this seriously: Read the license terms of reallusion VERY carefully. There are some unexpected conditions where you need an enterprise license.

I think you’re right everyone needs to read the T and C for the model use not just for CC but also for a metahuman as well. As far as I am aware, you cannot sell the models commercially on the open market due to the technology of the skeleton and topology , but please check the specifics (on both sites) as it will continuously change. You can sell on selected markets and on their own platform.
Hi! Thank you for your video . Where do you find NIA character inside Iclone or CC4? I didn't find her . Only in the UDK project provide by Reallusion....
What is the best way to animate a Metahuman in iClone? It's great that a character made in Character Creator can be "moved" to UE as a Metahuman but some of the Metahuman tools are just way cooler for character creation where iClone is better for controlling the animation itself. I'd love to see videos showing this process in detail.

Yeah, they do do some bridges into unity with some of their past products so I wouldn’t be surprised if they do create a bridge, that would be awesome for game devs !
@promptmuse Question: what is a Body/Face component? I see you add body/face components to the "CC_Rig_BP." I saw a Reallusion video where you can just add the animation directly to the CC_Rig_BP. What's the difference?
All Human characters is not helpful in my situation. What about my character whos head is a lizard?

Really interesting questions there thanks. 1. Yes, you can export Cascadeur animation into Iclone. You need to re-target the Iclone skeleton first in cascadeur then animate>export to Iclone. I’m not sure if I’ve ever done a video on this. I’ll have a look back. 2. Yes, you can import marvellous designer clothes into Iclone and the cloth physics can be converted, however, I’m not sure if the physics will transfer across to unreal currently the physics engine with this is the chaos physics. But I need to do some more tests ! But regardless of the physics the clothes can also come across to unreal engine and the CC rig.
Can you use the MH animator for iPhone driven facial capture on these new CC rigs?
Does this use the UE5 skeleton or will I have to retarget my existing UE5 animations to it?
When I add a second character to rig, the first one disappears, even when I rename the first rig?
Do you know if it’s compatible with metahuman animator? Would love to bring in my face mocap to cc characters

Yes, I’m trying to scribble down all the notes on how to get it to work, but I’m pretty much recording to a standard Metahuman and copying and pasting those keys onto my CC rig! I would like to get nice tutorial on how people can do so much easier to explain visually ⭐️

So a lot of the models I’ve seen are using hair cards which to be honest is nice and lightweight to use. They have chaos physics attached to them which will simulate hair movement. Now you can make your own hair in blender and bring it into character Creator obviously there’s a learning curve to it. if you’ve got the budget you can purchase hair packs from real illusion as well,just depends on what your budget is. I purchased a really cool plug-in in blender for her however there’s a huge learning curve to it and it also cost quite a bit so the hair character created as well as make my own hair depending on the project. Both can be simulated in UE. I find it much easier than using hair particles. Sorry I did speech to text for this hopefully it makes some sort of sense. 🤣

I’ve tested the animation that comes from the meta-human animator videos and that works perfectly. Just making a video on this now, but if you’re using a stylised character of the might need to tweak this slightly.

If I’m understanding correctly yes you can, check Reallusion latest vid on their channel and it shows the manny anime being imported onto a ccrig :)

Hello! It should be in /All/Game/FOLDER/YOURCHARACTERSNAME/Rigs Failing that just use the search function in the content draw. Reallusion have some nice tutorials on their channel to check out! Good luck!

As far as I’m aware, correct me if I’m wrong in, But in order to convert it to cc rig it needs to be a character creator skeleton with the mesh morph. If you want to do it in blender they do actually have some free meshes on their website for use in Blender which I can imagine can be exported to CC rig. I’ll take a look into this! But for any anyone on a budget, which is most people at the moment that would be a great alternative solution (voice to text - so apologise for the grammatical errors!)

Great question. As far as I’m aware, you can use the visuals created with Character Creator for filmmaking and other media projects with full ownership. In terms of the model (pls double check the latest t&c below in case I’m wrong) but my interpretation is you cannot resell the models directly on the market unless they are sold through Reallusion’s marketplace. www.reallusion.com/Content/EULA/EULA.htm

It’s reallusion. That means expensive. We want afford and more modules to buy. I was excited till I saw that. Unless they are going into subscription mode. Or being bought by unreal ans made available for all. That would be amazing.

It's a free plugin for CC/IC to UE. But you do have to have at least CC to use it, the plugin itself is free which is pretty neat.
