Hello, the video is very helpful thanks, but when I create the character in CC4 and import in Zbrush to modify it, at the moment to return the character in CC4 by GoZ I can't be able to modify the character as you show (face, eyes etc are all setup blocked and the character is not recognized as a cc4 character). Suggestion?

This is so freaking cool! I was never really into the hyper-realistic 'MetaHuman' characters. Glad we have the option to have more stylized characters to bring into UE, with the Control Rig.

Thank you for sharing this PromptMuse! Just bought CC4 because of your video, works fantastic with UE5. I was buying actorcore FBX libraries in the past and assigning them manually to the metahuman base skeleton and then baking to control rig. This way is soooo much better and I can now use all the new characters from CC too. Thanks so much! (Now I'm going to have to get iclone as well as that saves a bunch of time stringing together animation cycles. Block out in iclone, import into UE5 then bake to control rig and add an additive control rig for fine tuning. Awesome!

7:43 as of Blender 4.1.1, "Use Sculpt Collision" does not work properly on real scale model. This is a known issue (#115843), hope it'll be fixed soon.

Yes, I’m trying to scribble down all the notes on how to get it to work, but I’m pretty much recording to a standard Metahuman and copying and pasting those keys onto my CC rig! I would like to get nice tutorial on how people can do so much easier to explain visually ⭐️

Great video. Something I am struggling with is this. I have a characters from a Big Medium Small Mech pack. Use the MH capture tools onto a MH and then you can literally copy the capture from the MH rig to the CCRIg will be doing a tutorial in this very soon!

Every time I try this and add curves in Blender, it'll be insanely long, even when set to 1m. Is there something in my settings that are off? Because I'm doing this step by step and not getting the same result hahaa 😪

Now you are right go less like 0.1 I don’t think I ever set my units to scale correctly for that project so just would go from 0.1. You can use the tools to make the hair longer and shorter afterwards so don’t worry if you don’t get the initial length you can always trim it !

Great question. As far as I’m aware, you can use the visuals created with Character Creator for filmmaking and other media projects with full ownership. In terms of the model (pls double check the latest t&c below in case I’m wrong) but my interpretation is you cannot resell the models directly on the market unless they are sold through Reallusion’s marketplace. www.reallusion.com/Content/EULA/EULA.htm

So a lot of the models I’ve seen are using hair cards which to be honest is nice and lightweight to use. They have chaos physics attached to them which will simulate hair movement. Now you can make your own hair in blender and bring it into character Creator obviously there’s a learning curve to it. if you’ve got the budget you can purchase hair packs from real illusion as well,just depends on what your budget is. I purchased a really cool plug-in in blender for her however there’s a huge learning curve to it and it also cost quite a bit so the hair character created as well as make my own hair depending on the project. Both can be simulated in UE. I find it much easier than using hair particles. Sorry I did speech to text for this hopefully it makes some sort of sense. 🤣

great tutorial! I am using CC4 characters, so the simple attach worked for me. I had to play with the parameters in the hair groom to make my hair look like something, and I had to tweak the physics, but I got a decent little curly afro.

This sounds too good to be true. I want to see if I understand this fully, it is now possible to create a completely a new character from scratch AND bring them in to UE AND change their mesh in all sorts of ways? I'm new to this whole CC stuff. Btw you're skilled AF. I love your vids. Seriously you're awesome and I'm so excited. I'm gonna start going through CC and maybe IClone tutorials too lol.

All the mesh needs to be created in Character creator and then imported in and the converted to CCrigs but looks like a really neat way to get more stylised characters in. MH control rigs animation can be copied and pasted onto the new CC rigs as well. Looks like UE marketplace anime’s can all be used for the characters too. There are a few license agreements that need to be adhered to if using in game. It’s worth checking those out if anyone is using anything commercially. But for films and animations it’s look pretty sharp

Hello! It should be in /All/Game/FOLDER/YOURCHARACTERSNAME/Rigs Failing that just use the search function in the content draw. Reallusion have some nice tutorials on their channel to check out! Good luck!

Lol ive just spent the last month and a half making rigs from scratch (including for face) and they drop this on my final project push, what a treat. So much better and faster than adjusting all the controllers myself to match between characters. I did end up having a strange issue where it didnt separate head and body correctly when i had additional bones in there, but upon reimport it did work and i was able to add onto the cc body rig to add a tail setup for a humanoid, cool that its flexible too!
