    Hey there Jan, I own a CRO Consultancy firm for a couple years and would love to make some comments on the video: 1. Yes, is definitely true that people who have a bigger business definitely have a better upside in doing CRO compared to smaller businesses. The truth is that there are a lot of actions that you can do even if you don't have the traffic or the revenue to optimize the website. This is not as precise as A/B Testing but there are ways to monitor that using pre & post analysis 2. CRO isn't A/B Testing. This is a mistake that most of the people make because that's the part that gets advertised the most. Good CRO is about really understanding the customer and generating insights first Hope I can shed some light on the discipline because that's something so underrated that more and more businesses should be aware of ;)

    Hey Riccardo, you're right. A/B Split Tests are definitely just a subset of all the available CRO Methods. (but as you said, often used interchangeably, cause it's the most advertised, maybe also most effective, and definitely a more frequently searched keyword on YT. 😄) Input from someone with more industry experience is always awesome. What do you think are topics one should talk more about?

    The thing that helped me with my app the most was reading the average time on an app listing page is 11 seconds. It really helps prioritize what to say.

    Hi Jan! Google Optimise is sunsetting. How do you recommend performing A/B testing? Please help!

  • @losbones

    CRO campaign should be a quarterly, with weekly monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs). A/B tests are a quantitative tool. Qualitative research should not be neglected from the CRO process as it can offer a deeper level of understanding of user needs.

    That's really interesting. How many tests / variants / experiments would you run in one campaign? (Also assuming quarterly means running them 3 months)

    Hey Jan, would love to hear your thoughts like pros and cons between working at an agency vs working in house for one "brand" as a Shopify developer. Thanks!

  • @CodingWithJan

    @CodingWithJan

    Hey Andrew great question 😃 Agency Pros: - More experience - More data from other clients - Probably Larger Team / Backup if someone is on vacation or sick Agency Cons: - Potentially a bit less flexible - Potentially more expensive ( ROI would be important here as explained) --- In-house pro: - more flexible - cheaper In-house cons: - less experience - no backup in case of Vacation or sickness How you weight each of these is probably different for everyone! :-) And there are probably also more

    what if 1 ecommerce website is getting monthly 20k visitors but conversion is too low like 0.2%, We can't do A/B testing?

  • @CodingWithJan

    @CodingWithJan

    Жыл бұрын

    If the conversion rate is 0.2% And you want to get to 0.4% (100% increase) You need 10,000 Visitors per Variant, in order to be able to detect this change with 95% confidence. See: www.optimizely.com/sample-size-calculator/#/?conversion=0.2&effect=100&significance=95 That being said 0.2% is extremely low and can probably be fixed with common sense :-)

    @@CodingWithJan Thanks for your quick response. Yes it too low. We get traffic through google with SEO but our other websites conversion is v good. 2-4% but this one is getting alot of traffic but generating very low income. I am a front end designer so I tried some things but didn't see much change in conversion.
