CONTAINER is the new 25 minute Science Fiction short film from Writer, Producer and Director, Clifton Schulke of Film Platter. The film was shot over five days in July 2020 at Gladstone Cinema’s, Gladstone, Queensland with a small crew of ten. It is the most ambitious project Clifton has ever undertaken.
Jesse Warren, was cast in the lead role of DON, a man desperate to travel back in time. The award winning Cinematographer, Peter Szilveszter helmed the camera department on the film, who worked closely with Clifton to shape the style and mood.
The Emmy Award winning Brisbane sound studio - Folklore Sound and Music, and Sound Designers/Mixers - Thom Kellar and Joe Hayes, created the film's soundtrack alongside composer Ack Kinmonth who created the film's score. The mix was completed in Folklores number one mix room in the hugely immersive surround format of 7.1.

It’s frustrating; time and time again, I have warned these people to stop meddling with time travel - no good ever comes from it. This story is so tragic on so many levels. All I can say is just because you have the power to do something, doesn’t mean you should. I know he wanted to save his unborn child, but now this . . .

@@filmplatter so am I. Just being honest. I've been watching science-fiction shorts for a while now and have seen a bunch on youtube. There's some pretty bad acting out there and some that consist of nothing more than fancy graphics - game cutscenes without much of a plot. Time travel is an oft-explored but rich subject. It's easy to fall into familiar tropes. This film side-steps that. Minimalist, just enough effects to make me happy... attention to details like the blood, the diagrams the character draws to figure things out... a lot to like. A responsive youtube channel is a nice touch too. Keep doing what you're doing, all of you. Good work.

The power switch is actually the very first switch he powers on before opening the room. The bottom switches have individual responsibilities, like door locking functionality etc. At the end he is attempting to shut them all down but the 1st one sparks out and sends a surge through the system. If he was able to reach the top switch then yes, he would've shut the power down, but sadly he doesn't
