Constant Structure is UNDERRATED

Музыка

Let's look at tunes that use constant structure, on the surface pretty easy to use but gives a lot of complexity to a tune and in itself has a lot of fun harmonic implications. As always, let me know if you guys have other tunes which use this and I might make a part 2.
Tunes used:
The Truth - Moonchild
Spectrum - Goldlink
BEAUTIFUL - SEVENTEEN
Last Night (Monster Seeking Monster) - Jackbox Party Pack 4
Overthere Stair - Super Paper Mario

7:13 Me: "Wait what, isn't this the same as before? Why does it work for going backwards to the original key??" 7:20 Cadence: "That's right, we have the exact same sequence. Because our original key and current key are a tritone apart, that final chord in the sequence has a similar function." Me: "omg u read my mind and answered my question"

in jazz we call this parallelism or planing and it's used all the time in solos, especially when the chords are not changing very often.

That A dominant to G- 9 isn't that weird, think of it as resolving to the bVI but with an extra third below
