Consonant Clusters: British Pronunciation Lesson

Remember, you don't NEED an RP British accent to speak English well... There are loads of accents out there! I'm just here to help people who have a love for modern versions of RP.
Pronunciation course: www.etjenglish.com/
Learn a really easy technique for pronouncing some consonant clusters with a British accent! Consonant clusters are a major part of English, so it's important that we say them correctly, to sound clear and confident when we speak in British English.

I found somewhere on the Internet this thing: "Although approximants are voiced, when they occur after unvoiced stops--/k/, /t/, and /p/--as in the words 'crash,' 'play,' and 'twin'--the approximant begins as an unvoiced sound and the vocal cords begin to vibrate during the production of the sound. Non-native speakers who have difficulty with these types of consonant clusters often accidentally add an additional voiced sound between the stop and approximant. Learning to delay voicing avoids the possibility of an accidental vowel sound (and the accompanying unwanted syllable)" And it was new and strange for me. I thought that \, \ ,\m\, \w\ cannot be unvoiced. After I found this thing I noticed that sometimes they pronounce unvoiced part of approximant for quite a long time especially then they want to exaggerate. It is easy to notice this phenomenon comparing pronunciation of minimal pairs like pride - bride, trip - drip and aping atenttion not on pronunciation pf first sound, but second /r/ in this case. First half of it is unvoiced and second is voiced. Interesting how many native speakers now this? :)
